Kirk Cameron has sparked outrage this week after photos from his COVID-defying Christmas carol gathering went viral.
He’s going to need a good excuse to get out of this one…
The actor, who is known best as Mike Seaver on the ABC sitcom, Growing Pains, made his thoughts on California’s COVID restrictions very clear over the weekend.
Where he led hundreds of unmasked Californians to gather together and sing Christmas carols, all while the state continues to be ravaged by the devastating pandemic.
While voicing his frustration that Gov. Newsom has banned mass gatherings like caroling into the holiday season.
Except for permitted work, local shopping, or other permitted errands, according to California All.
These restrictions mean that many won’t be able to see their family and loved ones over the festive period.
All while noting how successful his previous event had gone.
“Have you ever sung Christmas Carols by candlelight at a time where your state governor has prohibited that in America?” he pondered in a video where he stood in front of an American flag hoisted onto a building. “Well, this is actually happening, you can’t make this up.”
Because an estimated five-hundred Californians arrived – without masks – ready to sing their hearts out.
People were nothing short of outraged.
Where, as you can see, hundreds of maskless Californian’s were sandwiched together as they sang carols together.
As people sang popular carols such as “Jingle Bells” and “Angels We Have Heard on High.”
“Christmas in Community! Peaceful Protest in Song!”
While, in the second, he wrote:
“God Bless America! Joy over Fear!”
The mall’s security did call the police…
But, according to TMZ, the masked officers merely told the carolers that it was important to wear masks.
No one was arrested at the scene, despite orders from the governor.
