Gwyneth Paltrow is currently on trial for an alleged ski crash.
And she’s now been accused of lying on the stand.

Paltrow’s mother is none other than Blythe Danner.
You might recognize her from her work on everything from Meet the Parents to Will & Grace.
Her father, Bruce Paltrow, was also a big name in film, as a director and producer.
However, he sadly passed away back in 2002.
It was around this time that Paltrow met her future husband Chris Martin.
Martin even wrote Coldplay’s ‘Fix You’ for the star in the actress of her father’s death.
The pair then went on to marry in 2003 and have 2 children together.
They finalized their divorce in 2016, which they notoriously described as a “conscious uncoupling.”
She then went on to marry Glee‘s co-creator Brad Falchuk.
They tied the knot in 2018.
Paltrow’s brother, Jake, is another family member involved in the world of Hollywood.
He has worked as a director, writer and actor across the industry.
Paltrow herself actually made her acting debut in a TV movie directed by her father.
High was released in 1989.
The pair actually dated for a while too from 1994 to 1997.
The couple became engaged during their time together, before calling it off.
Her first role as a leading lady was in 1996’s Emma.
The Oscar-nominated movie was pivotal for Paltrow’s career development.
However, everything changed for the star after her performance in Shakespeare in Love.
It was for this movie that the star won her first and only Oscar.
However, following on from that, Paltrow’s film career started to take a dive…
She had transitioned from acting in critically acclaimed movies to money-making blockbusters.
Roles during this time included Shallow Hal and View from the Top.
However, her role in 2008’s Iron Man caused a resurgence in her career.
But not soon after, the star put acting altogether on hold…
And it was all for one important project…
The star launched Goop as a lifestyle letter originally in 2008.
From there, it expanded into a full-on empire!
But what does “Goop” even mean?
Paltrow has said the “G” and “P” come from her initials, but the rest of the word is purposefully mysterious. “I wanted it to be a word that means nothing and could mean anything,” Paltrow said.
The brand has always been widely considered a little pretentious.
While her intentions may be altruistic, much of Paltrow’s wellness advice is pretty out of touch.
Goop is infamous for its controversial health advice.
The website’s wisdom and recommended treatments range from ridiculous to downright dangerous.
From the notorious yoni eggs…
“Made of heart-activating rose quartz” designed to deliver positive energy right up your… yoni. Colloquially, that’s “where the sun doesn’t shine.”
To the encouragement of mugwort steams…
The vaginal cleansing intended to release negative energy and balance hormone levels — sounds like a yeast infection waiting to happen.
The company also claimed conventional sunscreen was dangerous for expecting mothers…
Instead, they promoted the use of a mineral-based cream, which, in case you’re not aware, doesn’t do the same job.
The brand has also provided advice that has been allegedly fatal…
A woman reportedly died after receiving bee sting acupuncture therapy promoted by the brand as a treatment for arthritis and inflammation.
The company’s founder has made the headlines for something a little different, too …
Rather than her controversial practices, Paltrow has shocked fans with revelations from her childhood.
The star has revealed that she once toilet-papered Hollywood legend Arnold Schwarzenegger’s house!
During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Paltrow reflected on her fond memories of trick-or-treating around the A-list Santa Monica neighborhood where she grew up.
“Would you be with other celebrity kids? Knocking on Jack Nicholson’s door or whatever?” Kimmel asked.
Paltrow responded: “Well, Arnold Schwarzenegger used to live on our street. We would knock on his door for candy.”
“I don’t remember him giving out stuff. But he’s Austrian, so maybe they don’t celebrate there.”
Austrians generally don’t celebrate the spooky holiday, but instead they enjoy Seleenwoche, or All Souls Week, by remembering loved ones that have passed away.
Despite the cultural differences, Paltrow reportedly toilet-papered Schwarzenegger’s home because the Terminator star didn’t give out any candies to trick-or-treaters.
Scandalous!
“We did it, unfortunately, to a few houses there. But he was our pride and joy,” she continued.
Reflecting on the experience, Paltrow said they were “just being naughty kids.”
Since then, Paltrow has also made an appearance on the Armchair Expert podcast.
Whilst appearing on the show, she got serious, talking about her birth to her daughter, Apple Martin, whom she shares with her ex, Chris Martin, and how it almost cost her her life.
She also spoke about body positivity and the scars that come along with C-section procedure…
Paltrow opened up about the birth of her eldest child.
“I had two caesareans,” she said.
“My daughter was an emergency, it was crazy, we almost died. It was like not good.”
She continued by saying the C- section she underwent gave her a scar that she wasn’t used to seeing in her body.
“You’re like, ‘oh wow, that didn’t used to be there.’ And it’s not that it’s bad or you want to judge it, but you’re just like, ‘Oh my god.'”
But that wasn’t the first time the fifty-year-old had a bad experience whilst giving birth.
Paltrow also went through the same experience with her third child.
“I had a really bad experience when I was pregnant with my third and it didn’t work out, and I nearly died,” she revealed to Daily Mail back in 2013.
“So I am, like, ‘Are we good here or should we go back and try again?'”
It’s clear Paltrow is still close to her kids, and she has recently opened up about her struggles with Apple going away to college.
“It was horrible. It was truly horrifying, she admitted to People.
“I was sick to my stomach, bursting into tears.”
But this week, Paltrow is facing controversy after taking the stand in her ongoing ski crash trial.
Terry Sanderson is accusing Paltrow of crashing into him while skiing in Utah in 2006, causing him significant injuries.
And Paltrow has finally taken the stand, giving her perspective on the incident.
“I was confused at first, and I didn’t know exactly what was happening,” she said.
“It’s a very strange thing to happen on a ski slope, and I froze, and I would say I got very upset a couple seconds later.”
“I was skiing, and two skis came between my skis, forcing my legs apart, and then there was a body pressing against me, and there was a very strange grunting noise.
“So my brain was trying to make sense of what was happening. I thought, ‘Is this a practical joke? Is someone doing something perverted? This is really, really strange.’”
However, Paltrow then clarified that she wasn’t accusing Sanderson of sexual assault.
Because of this change in her story, Sanderson’s attorney then said: “She’s lied under oath a number of times.”
Paltrow’s attorney then hit back, saying: “Your Honor, that is slanderous and I want it withdrawn this moment.”
Sanderson’s attorney responded: “Yes, absolutely. She has made prior inconsistent statements.”
What do you think of Paltrow’s testimony?
