Hairstylist’s Prices Called ‘Insane’ After She Charged One Client $1,950 for a Cut and Color

Getting your hair done is one of life’s simplest pleasures.

Whether it’s just a trim or a whole new look, sitting back in that chair and letting the stylist do their job is arguably one of the best feelings ever. But it’s not a cheap experience, especially if you want someone to do a good job. That being said though, it shouldn’t cost you a full month’s salary.

A hairstylist is facing criticism after she charged one of her clients a whopping $1,950 for a cut and color.

Jasmine Policarpo, from California, posted a video in which she showed off a hair transformation she recently did on a client. The clip starts off showing a woman with brown hair and then cuts to her with beautiful blonde hair in soft waves. The entire process took approximately thirteen hours and Policarpo charged her $130 per hour.

“I did not think my last post was going to make so many people mad with how much I charge, but I think this one’s going to make you madder,” the stylist says in the video.

Her previous video, which left people questioning her “insane” prices, showed another client who paid approximately $1,040 for a cut and color too. I mean the transformation is commendable… but not for that price! You can get a similar job done by other hairstylists for half the price – probably even less!

“I got the same and even better for 300,” a user commented.

“The new iPhone cost less,” another pointed out.

Others commented on the fact that Policarpo spilled bleach all down the client’s shirt. In retaliation, she commented saying, “The foils were heavy and she was pregnant. There was a lot of moving. But she was completely cool about it.”

The video has been viewed 1.5 million times and has received 174,000 likes.

I mean, are highlights worth being hoodwinked of almost 2 grand? Of course, if that’s what your happy paying for, you go for it sis, but I’m just saying that there are a million better things to spend your hard-earned money on, right?
