Actress Nicki Aycox, best known for playing Meg Masters in Supernatural, has tragically passed away at the age of forty-seven.

Nicki Aycox is best known for her role in the hit show Supernatural.

She quickly became a fan favorite.

Aycox played the human vessel Meg Masters, as well as a demon in seasons 1 and 4 of the show.

But she also had roles in some of our favorite movies and TV shows over the course of her career.

She appeared in Jeepers Creepers 2, Perfect Stranger, and The X-Files, just to name a few.

She also played the character Jaimie Allen on TNT’s Dark Blue.

But before her success on the big screen, Aycox started out with a love of music…

According to her biography, “she fell in love with the family piano and began playing music” at age 9.

Sadly, her family had to sell her piano after hitting a hard time financially…

She developed a huge love of entertaining, and luckily for us, she decided to share that with the world.

She frequently posted about her vegan lifestyle and uploaded healthy recipes.

She gained a large following…

And also shared updates on her health as she was diagnosed with leukemia.

Aycox was diagnosed in 2020 after she thought she had Covid-19…

She found out the devastating news when she went for tests after becoming “very ill.”

It was the worst possible outcome.

But she took the fight head-on.

She underwent multiple chemotherapy treatments and stem cell transplants. 

She used her Instagram page and website to document her struggles…

And fans were incredibly supportive of her, following her journey through all the tough times.

Sadly, she passed away on November 17…

Understandably, fans were distraught.

The devastating news was confirmed on social media by her sister-in-law, Susan Raab Ceklosky…

“My beautiful, smart, fierce, incredibly talented, and loving sister-in-law, Nicki Aycox Raab, passed away,” Ceklosky said.

Adding: “She was definitely a fighter…

“And everyone who knew her loved her.”

Eric Kripke, the director of Supernatural, also shared a tribute to the star on Twitter…

He wrote that Aycox “was a delight & delivered lines like honey & venom.”

Adding: “I marvel at how she made a simple word like ‘lackluster’ legendary.”

Since her death, fans have taken to her Instagram to share their tributes in the comment section of her final post.

She was in, what appeared to be, a hospital bed after finishing another round of chemotherapy.

She captioned her post: “STOP! DO NOT attempt to sing 80’s music after taking high doses of chemo will cause memory loss.

“Literally got not 1 lyric correct #cancersucks.”

One Instagram user wrote: “I wish I had known to follow you and your journey before hearing of your passing you were too young… I’m so sorry and thinking of you and your family.”

While another added: “Godspeed sweet angel. Prayers, love and strength to her family,” with a third person saying: “Rest in Peace and Paradise.”

Another mentioned how she was an inspiration as they had also been diagnosed with Leukemia…

“God bless you and your family. I was just diagnosed with leukemia a month ago. I am going through chemo now and it is very hard. You’re fighting Spirit inspired me to not give up and keep going. I hope your family will find comfort in your memory of the good times,” they wrote.

Her cause of death has not yet been announced.
