Here's How Much a Surrogate Will Get Paid To Carry Kim and Kanye's Next Baby | 22 Words

Love them or hate them, the Kardashians know how to dominate the news, and today was no exception. Kim and Kanye—parents of two— have announced they will be having a third, by way of a surrogate.

They have said they want more kids, but Kim has a dangerous condition called placenta accreta, which means the placenta attaches too deeply into the uterine wall.

With the condition, it would be life-threatening for Kim to carry her third child. According to TMZ, the couple has used an agency and already selected the woman.

How will it work?

The couple will pay a deposit of $68,850 dollars to the agency. They will then pay the surrogate $45,000 in ten monthly installments ($4,500 per month).

If the surrogate becomes pregnant with more than one child, she is paid an additional $5,000 per baby.

If through the process she is unable to keep any of her reproductive organs, she will be paid  an additional $4,000. So...lose your ovaries and hey! Here's $4,000 — go and buy yourself something special. The surrogate must not smoke, drink, or use drugs for the duration of the pregnancy. She also can't go into hot tubs or saunas, handle cat litter, dye her hair, have more than one caffeinated drink a day, or eat raw fish. This is standard for any pregnant woman.

The surrogate must also refrain from sexual activities in the weeks leading up to her due date, and skip sex altogether for three weeks after the embryo implantation.

When the baby is born, the Wests will "assume the legal and parental responsibilities for any child that may possess any congenital or other abnormalities or defects." In other words: no returns. Best of luck to the family as they take the surrogacy route! We'll keep keeping up.
