You simply can’t have Christmas without the tree… I mean where is good old Saint Nick going to put the presents otherwise?
There’s something nostalgic about the warm glow of the lights and the twinkle of the ornaments that brings people together.

With snow comes Snowmen…

Although receiving presents is definitely top of the list during Christmas, it’s also important to give during this time of year, and remember what the whole holiday is all about.

And one of the most popular movies has recently left people baffled.
As they’ve finally realized why Kevin was left alone in Home Alone.
![](https://twentytwowords.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/GettyImages-1372099741-1024x540.jpg.optimal.jpg)
The premise of the movie revolves around Kevin McCallister (played by Macaulay Culkin) and his attempts to keep thieves out of his parents’ home when he’s accidentally left behind by his family.
However, some viewers have only just realized why he was left home alone, decades after the movie came out.

Well, the reason why is the night before the family vacation, a power outage causes the clocks to go haywire, so in the family’s rush to the airport, they accidentally include their neighbor’s kid in their headcount.
And the reason they didn’t realize when they got to the airport is that the night before, milk gets spilled on Kevin’s flight ticket during dinner, and the dad accidentally throws it away.

Fans on Twitter have been left shocked by the revelation.
One user wrote: “Okay this is crazy lol and I’m sure people have found this Easter egg many times, but for me I just realized that in Home Alone, Kevin’s dad accidentally threw away Kevin’s plane ticket.

“Which explains how they didn’t realize anyone was missing handing out tickets at the gate.”
“I’ve seen Home Alone – 25 times and it wasn’t until the most recent time I realized the dad threw away a plane ticket when cleaning up spilled milk at the beginning. That’s why they never had an extra ticket,” another commented.

While a third said: “I just noticed on home alone when they were eating pizza and Kevin started the fight with his brother, the dad threw Kevin’s plane ticket away. I’m slow never noticed that.”
Did you ever notice?
