A homeless man has reunited with his mother and sister after a decade apart after they tracked him down upon seeing his viral makeover.

The footage is the most heartwarming thing you’ll ever see…

But, for over a decade, his family had presumed him to be dead.

He recently stumbled into the men’s clothing store and barbershop, Padoo, where the owner and employees generously offered to clean him up.

They gave him 3 shirts, a pair of pants, a jacket, and a new pair of shoes, all free of charge.

Speaking to Bored Panda, he said: “He came and we asked if he was hungry and wanted something to eat. But he refused and asked if we had a razor so he could trim his beard. That’s when we had an idea and everyone in the store decided to help in a different way, providing a day of beauty for him.”

“It took 2 hours to complete the transformation. The whole team volunteered and everyone did a little, adding up to a surprising result,” Lobo explained.

“He is a very shy person and of few words. But we noticed his look of satisfaction and he thanked us very much,” Lobo added to UOL.

And João was left looking like a totally different man.

And thousands of people were quick to comment their thoughts on his new look.

He looks like a totally different man, doesn’t he?

Incredible work from the team at Padoo.

Thanks to his viral photos, João’s long-lost mother and sister discovered that he was actually alive.

“His sister, Maria Coelho, came in a hurry when she saw the pictures. She lives in Brasília DF and has been waiting for ten years to hear some news about him. She even thought he was dead,” Lobo explained.
