A British comedian and game show host took a truly savage swipe at Meghan Markle over the weekend...

And quite predictably, his comments caused utter chaos online.

Now, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been the talk of the entire world since their explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey aired.

Their 2-hour-long interview aired on CBS on Sunday, March 7th and viewers watched on in shock as some mind-blowing allegations were made against the monarchy.

For example...

It was claimed that senior members of the family had refused to get Meghan professional help when she was experiencing suicidal thoughts during her pregnancy with Archie.

Meghan also addressed that incident with her sister-in-law, the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton.

Headlines were made in 2018 when Meghan allegedly "made Kate cry" in a row about bridesmaids' dresses in the days before her and Harry's wedding - well, in her chat with Oprah, Meghan claimed that Kate was the one to make her cry.

Though she did stress that Kate had apologized and that she had "forgiven her."

Harry then explained that he "had to get out," though when he did he was "cut off financially" when he and Meghan needed help the most...

He also added that they've since been relying on his inheritance from Princess Diana.

"I was totally cut off financially. My family cut me off – if I didn't have what my mom left me, we wouldn't have been able to do this. All I wanted to do was keep my family safe."

Meghan then addressed the ongoing issues of racism within the monarchy.

The Duchess claimed an unnamed senior member of the Royal family raised "concerns" about how dark Archie's skin would be before his birth.

She implied that this "concern" was the reason Archie wasn't given a royal title.

"In those months when I was pregnant, all around this same time.... so we have in tandem the conversation of 'He won't be given security, he's not going to be given a title,' and also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he's born," Meghan explained.

Quite predictably, opinion was well and truly divided over the interview...

With a vast majority feeling sympathetic for Harry and Meghan over what they've allegedly endured in the last few years.

But on the other hand...

People have been slamming the pair for agreeing to take part in Oprah's interview and have even been brandishing them as "liars"... including Piers Morgan, of course!

And alongside all of that...

People have even been making fun of the royal couple, which is what brings us back to today's story.

British comedian and TV host Alan Carr recently landed himself a gig hosting a brand new game show...

And on Saturday night's pilot episode, he made a joke and took a savage swipe at Meghan while chatting to a contestant.

But his joke triggered a storm on social media...

And many slammed the comedian for his childish and cruel comments.

But on the other hand, many felt Carr's comments were just a little bit of harmless fun.

According to local media, the comedian was hosting a game of Bullseye, a classic British game show that involves contestants playing darts against one another for prizes.

Professional darts player Fallon Sherrock was involved as part of a celebrity special and she was asked to provide a nickname to play under, to which she replied, "The Queen of the Palace."

Without missing a beat, Carr fired back, "I think that's the nickname Meghan had her heart set on... and look how that turned out!"

Which triggered roars of laughter from the audience and other celebrity contestants.

Do you think Carr's joke was harmless?

Or do you believe it's time for comedians and other public figures to finally turn down the heat on Harry and Meghan?
