Ever since Kesha hit our screens back in early 2009, she's been adored by thousands of fans.

She first came to fame in 2009 after featuring on American rapper Flo Rida's single, "Right Round."

Since then we've seen her propelled to the top of charts with tunes including "Tik Tok," "Blah Blah Blah," and "Your Love Is My Drug."

At one point, she even gained the title of best-selling digital single in history with "Tik Tok."

Fans have followed her every move as her career went from strength to strength.

As they fell in love with not only her music, but also her daring style.

But, fame and success hasn't always been a positive thing for Kesha...

The star has been involved in a legal dispute with her former producer Dr. Luke since 2014.

Known to many as, Kesha v. Dr. Luke, the pair have battled back and forth in a series of lawsuits.

Kesha accused Dr. Luke of physical, sexual, and emotional abuse and employment discrimination.

While he sued Kesha and her mom for defamation and breach of contract.

Of course, fans have always had her back...

But, despite following her for years, just how well do some fans actually know the singer?

Well, it turns out that some of them can't even get her name right.

Kesha took to TikTok recently to correct all those who keep pronouncing her name wrong.

Some fans were stunned by the revelation...

While the so-called "revelation" came as old news to others...

In a video posted to TikTok, Kesha took the chance to correct fans on the pronunciation of her name.

Because it turns out, some people have been calling her... Ketchup.

Seriously?

"My name is Kesha," she said.

"Kesha."

"Not Keisha. Not Ketchup."

"Kesha."

In another video, Kesha's mom revealed how she picked her daughter's name.

"So, the name Kesha is actually a Hungarian family name that Lagan would've been named if he had been a girl. But since he wasn't, the name is actually pronounced Ke-ta-cha in Hungarian. And so, I decided to make it easier and to make it Kesha," she said.
