Hulk Hogan is opening up about how dedicating himself to Jesus has changed his life.

While Hogan is a widely-beloved WWE legend, he’s still been in his fair share of public drama over the years.

He’s a member of the World Wrestling Entertainment hall of fame, but at one point, his public antics got him removed by the organization.

The WWE reinstated Hulk Hogan in its hall of fame in 2018, three years after removing the professional wrestler following the release of a tape recording him using racial slurs.

In a statement at the time, the WWE said the “second chance follows Hogan’s numerous public apologies and volunteering to work with young people, where he is helping them learn from his mistake.”

He’s also been a part of some legal issues over the years, including his very public divorce.

In November 2007, PEOPLE reported that Hogan’s wife, Linda, had filed for divorce without telling the wrestler, claiming Hulk found out about his own divorce along with everybody else.

The following year, Linda’s publicist told E! News that Linda filed for divorce after she found out that her husband had an affair with one of his daughter Brooke’s close friends, Christine Plante.

Linda’s publicist Gary Smith claimed at the time: “Almost every statement that comes out of Hulk’s mouth is a diversionary tactic to deflect attention away from the real reason Linda filed for divorce, two words: HULK’S CHEATING!”

Years after their divorce was settled, Hogan found himself in more legal trouble when Linda re-opened their divorce case, alleging the wrestler has not paid the stipulated 40 percent of his earnings.

Fast forward to 2023, and it looks like Hulk Hogan is trying to make a serious change in his life.

After years of public scandals, the wrestler is making headlines for something a lot of his fans probably didn’t expect.

The star and his current wife, Sky Daily Hogan, were recently baptized at Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Florida.

Hogan shared photos and videos of the ceremony on his social media accounts, sharing with his followers just how excited he was for the moment.

“Total surrender and dedication to Jesus is the greatest day of my life,” the 70-year-old wrote in his Instagram caption.

He continued, “No worries, no hate, no judgment… only love!”

Hogan and his wife were both dressed in all white as they were ceremoniously dipped in a pool of water to signify their baptism.

Staying true to signature look, the wrestler wore a white bandana and a silver cross necklace.

Hogan can be seen flashing a huge smile after getting baptized before hugging the officiant.

He even assisted in submerging Sky during the ceremony.

“God is doing amazing things at Indian Rocks,” the church wrote in their caption while sharing the news of Hogan’s baptism on Instagram.

This isn’t the first time the WWE champion has proclaimed his Christian beliefs.

Earlier this year, Hulk tweeted about his religious journey and how he first accepted Christ when he was a teenager.

“I accepted Christ as my savior at 14-years-old and the training, prayers and vitamins kept me in the game but now that I am one with God,” he began in a tweet back in April.

He continued, “the main event theme of surrender, service and love makes me the Real Main Event that can slam any giant of any size through the power of my Lord and Savior and so it is, even now brother, AMEN!”

He echoed the same sentiment in 2009, mentioning in an interview with TMZ that his faith kept him on the right path during his divorce with ex wife, Linda.

“I’ve leaned on my religion,” Hogan said about that period in his life.

“I accepted Christ as my savior. He died on the cross and paid for my sins. I found some very good friends who told me about being positive and the power of positive thinking,” he said.

Hulk concluded, “I could have went the wrong way. I could have self-destructed, but I took the high road.”
