In today's age of plastic surgery, it rarely comes as a shock when someone overdoes it slightly on the appearance alteration.

The "Human Ken Doll" went viral last year for their drastic appearance change and they literally looked like a real-life Ken doll.

But now the Ken Doll, whose real name is Roddy Alves, has come out as a transgender woman.

Who remembers Roddy Alves?

Roddy is most commonly known as the "Human Ken Doll", and it's really not hard to see why.

She has had a lot of plastic surgery...

The thirty-six-year-old reality TV star, who is from Brazil, has had countless procedures on all parts of her body since she was seventeen, including 10 surgeries alone on her nose.

Roddy has always dreamed of having a silicone look...

Speaking to The Sun back in 2017, she said, "I have always been a very creative person, I grew up watching Disney movies and I wanted to look like a prince when I was a child."

Her unique look gave her international fame...

And she now boasts an impressive 876,000 followers on Instagram.

Things haven't always been smooth sailing for the reality star, however...

Her cosmetic journey hasn't always gone to plan, with Roddy experiencing numerous botched surgeries such as when she first moved to London in the U.K. for university. "While I was a student, I had my first few surgeries but with poor results. I was very young and I would just find surgeons online and go to the most expensive ones in Harley Street," she explained.

But the surgery soon became an addiction...

Which a lot of people can relate to.

But where did this appearance obsession come from?

Roddy recently opened up about being bullied throughout childhood and being extremely insecure with her natural appearance. “Growing up I felt alone as nobody wanted to be friends with me. Because of my body image and the fact that I was shy, I avoided social situations," she said on a British talk show last year.

The years of bullying took a toll...

And Roddy was ultimately diagnosed with Body Dysmorphic Disorder, an anxiety disorder that causes a person to have a distorted view of how they look and worry obsessively about their appearance.

She has always felt that cosmetic surgery is the only way for her to be her true self...

“In my dreams, I look a certain way, but then getting up in the morning and looking at myself in the mirror I didn’t recognize myself. This was why I carried on having surgeries, seeking out the best doctors in the USA, Brazil, Europe, and the Middle East to help me become my true self," she said.

But the surgeries aren't going to stop anytime soon...

And Roddy has made a pretty huge announcement to her fans and followers.

Roddy has come out as a transgender woman.

She announced her decision in the Sunday Mirror by saying, "It feels amazing to finally tell the world I'm a girl."

She now uses the pronouns "She" and "Her"...

"I'm known as Ken, but inside I've always felt like Barbie," she went on to say.

More surgery is on the cards during her transition...

And this includes full gender reassignment surgery.

She finally feels like her true self...

"I finally feel like the real me. Glamorous, beautiful and feminine. For years I tried to live my life as a man. I had a fake six pack put in, I had fake muscles in my arms but I was lying to myself," she said.
"I'm a woman and have always had a feminine brain. Now my body matches my mind."

There is still a long way to go until her transition is complete, however...

"I will have a penile inversion and my testicles will be removed. That will be the final step," she explained.
"Before that, I'm having silicone breast implants. I'll be able to wear dresses that show my cleavage and look sexy. I'm very excited."

There's even more facial surgery in store...

"After that, I'm having face feminization surgery. It will be an incision at the top of my scalp, and through that, the doctor will reshape my forehead, give me an eye lift, lip lift, and middle facelift."

It doesn't stop there...

"I'm having my Adam's apple removed, my jawline shaved and my chin modified," she went on to explain.

She is nervous about the public reaction...

"Behind closed doors, I've been living as a woman for the last three months. I love it and everything that comes with it - going to nice hair salons and getting my nails, eyebrows, and eyelashes done. Buying dresses and high heels and wearing sexy lingerie."
"But I have been trolled and called a freak and a weirdo, so of course I am nervous about how people will react," she said.

But Roddy has certainly come a long way...

"A few years ago I could never have done this but it feels easier now... People are more aware of what being transgender means. I just hope people can accept me as a woman and don't judge or ridicule me."

She needs to do whatever makes her happy...
