It can be tricky to toe the line between responsible and overprotective.
But it’s important to foster independence and trust in your kids, to risk a serious rebellion down the line.

But one parenting issue has sparked a fierce debate online this week.
And it involved a pregnant mom on a plane …
Anthony Bass, who pitches for Toronto Blue Jays, Tweeted his concerns.
“The flight attendant @united just made my 22 week pregnant wife traveling with a 5 year old and 2 year old get on her hands and knees to pick up the popcorn mess by my youngest daughter. Are you kidding me?!?!”
However, not everyone shared Bass’s concerns.
“Just because you’re rich doesn’t mean everyone is your servant. I hope this helps,” wrote one.
Another added: “Ohh no your wife had to clean up after the mess your kids made lol what a Greek tragedy.”
While a third wrote: “All this tells me is you let your own pregnant wife clean a floor rather than helping her.”
