Two identical twins from Fresno, California, truly experienced the miracle of birth. Bao Kou Julie Yang and Bao Nhia Julia Yang gave birth to their babies on exactly the same day. But the amazing coincidences didn't end there. In fact, the two newborns were also precious rainbow babies - meaning babies born after the mother has suffered a prior miscarriage.

The pair's due dates were actually set at 2 weeks apart, but on November 4th, 2018, the pair both went into labor. The sisters traveled separately to Fresno's Community Regional Medical Center. Soon after, Bao Kou welcomed her first baby, Nadalie Xiong - and then, less than 2 hours after that, Bao Nhia gave birth to her baby, Candra Thao.

The two weren't even aware they were giving birth in rooms right next door to each other until after the births! "I knew that I was going to be in labor and then I told her and then she was like, 'I'm having pain here and there too, I might be in there with you too' and then later on that day, my husband was like, 'Oh I saw your sister next door,'" Bao Kou told Bakersfield Now. "I think she found out two days after me that she was pregnant," Bao Kou explained. "Mine weighed seven pounds and three ounces," Bao Nhia said. "And mine is 7 pounds exactly, so almost the same," Bao Kou confirmed.

"We both weren't expecting this, to say the very least," Bao Kou told PEOPLE. "I was definitely in shock, but I was happy for the both of us. It's really a miracle."

But what makes this story all the more special is the fact that both twins had previously suffered miscarriages. "My sister and I went through miscarriages together and that definitely brought us closer," Bao Kou explained to PEOPLE. "Being able to see her, being able to have her be there, and keeping me together after our miscarriages was something that was very important to me."

The pair also hope that their unusual start in life will help create a special bond between the cousins. "They seem to get along with each other. They fall asleep next to each other fine. They cry at the same time," Bao Kou went on."I think that me and Julia will try our best to ensure that our children know what a close bond she and I have. Hopefully, they will get to share that as well."

People of the internet are loving this heartwarming story. "That is amazingly fabulous !!! How the heck did yall manage that!!!! What a great story they will have!" one enthusiastic Facebook commenter wrote. Another made a different point: "The babies look like twins!"
