People on the internet are going crazy for a Redditor who thinks that notorious serial killer Ted Bundy may have been a previous frequenter of his grandmothers' house. The post has gone viral on the site, with many people commenting their own theories on the strange coincidence.
A Redditor has made a pretty creepy discovery at his grandmother's house.
A person on Reddit claims to have discovered that their grandmother lives in the house that was once frequented by the girlfriend of notorious serial killer Ted Bundy. The Redditor mcmmulligan shared a picture showing the infamous photo of Bundy and his girlfriend who is presumed to be Elizabeth Kloepfer.
Though the house seems to have changed, there is no denying that the fireplace looks almost identical, even down to the position of the grate.
The post simply shows the photo with the title "Ted Bundy dated someone who used to live in my grandparent's house." Now it could just be a happy coincidence, but surely they had to live somewhere right? Looking at the photo, they are scarily similar...
The original infamous photo features serial killer Ted Bundy lounging in front of the fireplace with a woman assumed to be girlfriend Elizabeth Kloepfer.

Theodore (Ted) Bundy was an American serial killer and r*pist and remains one of the most notorious criminals of the late 20th century. Known for being wickedly charismatic and handsome, he was charged with killing at least thirty young women in Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, and Florida between 1974 and 1978.
Despite the appalling nature of his crimes, Bundy became something of a celebrity, particularly following his escape from custody in Colorado in 1977. During his trial, his charm and intelligence drew significant public attention, which lead to many female criminologists accusing the media of romanticizing him.
The post has 95% upvotes on it, meaning that many people support the idea that this is in fact the same fireplace.
"That's not 'someone'. That's THE one. He dated Liz for a majority of his active years," wrote one commenter.
"This seriously gave me chills," another one wrote.
Some commenters even wondered if this was the very fireplace which Bundy claimed to destroy evidence of one of his victims - Donna Manson.
Elizabeth Klopfer was Bundy's girlfriend throughout the period of many of his crimes, and even reported him to police when she recognized his face from a composite sketch.
Take a look at this wanted poster of serial killer Ted Bundy, who was added to the FBI's Top 10 Fugitives list on February 10, 1978. On Feb. 15, 1978, Bundy was arrested in Pensacola, Florida, by local police after he was stopped for speeding while driving a stolen vehicle. pic.twitter.com/oyJ6T2cJhX— FBI Kansas City (@FBIKansasCity) June 5, 2021
The first time, she was ignored, due to a high volume of sightings, however, she tried again a second time when she realized women were disappearing near Salt Lake City, Utah.
Many say it was the era in which he did his killing spree which meant he evaded capture for so long. The lack of technology and DNA testing made it difficult to connect Bundy to the murders that spanned across 6 states. But when it came down to it, the simplest thing unraveled it all: multiple, completely coincidental traffic stops were ultimately what led to Bundy's arrests and death. He was executed by electric chair in 1989.
The original poster came back, later on, to clear up some of the many questions people had.
They said: "The house was built for a doctor and his family who turned out to be Liz. Liz dated Teddy for a good part of his active years and they broke up when he got arrested and had to leave the state I believe.
"My family bought the house a few years ago with zero relation to 'ol Teddy. Just crazy coincidence!"
