Where he co-wrote and acted in the hit British sitcom Gavin and Stacey with fellow actress Ruth Jones, and the rest is history!

The actor is now best known for his hosting the talk show The Late Late Show here in the States, which first aired in 1995…

And after many different hosts taking their turn in the limelight, Corden succeeded Craig Ferguson in 2015, who was the last former host of the show.

However, although Corden has achieved a lot, it seems he’s let fame get to his head.

As a lot of reports have surfaced over the last several years that the star thinks he’s above everyone else.

Social media is flooded with comments from former workers and fans that have met the star and regretted their interaction.

And it seems his attitude is so bad, that the UK doesn’t want him to return.

Corden revealed earlier this year that he plans to go back to the UK…

After revealing he wants to leave The Late Late Show in 2023.

Soon after, a petition online grabbed eyeballs, attempting to block Corden from entering the UK…

The petition created by Graham Stoner claims that the UK has already had enough to deal with in recent years, so Corden should be left “on some little uninhabited island off the coast of Scotland.”

It even goes on to suggest that the absence of the comedian has been “a beacon of hope.”

The petition goes further, saying: “We’ve had to collectively deal with the impact of the Tory government, Brexit, and COVID-19.”

Stoner urged the public to sign the petition, even stating: “I beg you, if you do one thing today, please, I implore you to sign this petition.”

Unfortunately, the founder of the petition says it’s “inevitable he’ll be back on British shores soon.”

Ben Turner, co-founder of Corden’s production company said: ‘The Late Late Show is a big commitment that’s taken up so much of his time. But it is a big moment for us.” Adding he’s “really excited about having him back in the UK.”

8 years ago, Corden left the UK to venture out on American TV…

Corden even had the chance to rub shoulders with the biggest names in Hollywood — including Terry Crews.

Corden recently expressed his love for Los Angeles…

He also said he and his wife Julia Carey are contemplating moving back to the UK before he had made the big announcement — but stressed the love he will always carry for Los Angeles.

And now, a restaurant owner in New York has confirmed Corden’s attitude is totally out of touch with reality, recalling a recent meltdown he had at one of his staff members.

Restauranteur Keith McNally, who owns the Balthazar chain recently took to Instagram to share the moment he was forced to kick Corden and his wife out of his restaurant.

The seventy-one-year-old shared 2 reports from the restaurant’s managers, writing: “James Corden is a Hugely gifted comedian, but a tiny Cretin of a man. And the most abusive customer to my Balthazar servers since the restaurant opened 25 years ago.”

He explained: “I don’t often 86 a customer, to today I 86’d Corden. It did not make me laugh. Here are two examples of the funny man’s treatment of my staff. He behaviored similarly in my former restaurant, Cafe Luxembourg, a few years back.” [sic]

Sharing the reports, McNally wrote: “In June, James Corden was here on table 61. (Although this is diabolical, it happens very occasionally in all restaurants.) After eating his main course, Corden showed the hair to Balthazar manager G. who was very apologetic.

“Corden was extremely nasty to G, and said: ‘Get us another round of drinks this second. And also take care of all of our drinks so far. This way I write any nasty reviews in yelp or anything like that’.”

The second read: “James Corden was at Balthazar with his wife on October 9th for brunch. He asked for a table outside. Brunch Maitre D’ Allie Wolters took the party to table 301. Mr. Corden’s wife ordered an egg yolk omelette with gruyere cheese and salad.

“A few minutes after they received the food, James called their server, M. K. and told her there was a little bit of egg white mixed with the egg yolk. M. K. informed the floor manager, G. The kitchen remade the dish but unfortunately sent it with home fries instead of salad.”

It continued: “That’s when James Corden began yelling like crazy to the server: ‘You can’t do your job! You can’t do your job! Maybe I should go into the kitchen and cook the omelette myself!’

“M.K. was very apologetic and brought G. over to the table. He returned the dish, and after that, everything was fine.

“He gave them promo Champagne glasses to smooth things out. G. said that Corden was pleasant to him but nasty to the server. M.K. was very shaken, but professional that she is, continued to finish her shift.”

However, it seems after the post went viral, Corden tried to save face and apologize.

McNally gave an update, revealing that Corden had given him a “groveling apology.”

He wrote: “James Corden just called me and apologized profusely. Having f***** up myself more than most people, I strongly believe in second chances. So if James Corden lets me host his Late Late Show for 9 months, I’ll immediately rescind his ban from Balthazar. No, of course not.

“But… anyone magnanimous enough to apologize to a deadbeat layabout like me (and my staff) doesn’t deserve to be banned from anyway. Especially Balthazar. So come back to the 5 & Dime, Jimmy Corden, Jimmy Corden. All is Forgiven. xx”

Instagram users quickly took to the comment section to share their thoughts, with many urging the comedian to apologize to the staff.

One wrote: “He should go in there and apologize to the staff and give them a huge tip.”

A second chimed: “Hope he comes back and tips the waitstaff a ton of money!”

Since then, a Reddit post has gone viral.

Corden participated in an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session on Reddit but many users shared stories of how egotistical and self-centered the comedian really is.

According to reports, one of the top-voted comments accused Corden of showing up to a Writers Guild Association meeting to advocate for lower pay for starting writers.

So low, according to the comment thread, it equated to a wage that’s barely livable in Los Angeles.

Reportedly, writer Jack Allison said that Corden showed up to negotiate writers’ salaries down.

However, it didn’t take long for other people to hop in the AMA with their own stories of Corden’s rudeness towards fans and self-absorbed behavior…

One Reddit user even mentioned the time they saw Corden filming the UK game show A League of Their Own and, while other stars were polite and engaged with fans, Corden was aloof.

“At the end of filming people got up to go get pictures with James and he massively kicked off shouting at people to go away and to go back to their seats and the few he did let have pictures with he was moody,” the user wrote.

But then there was a crazy airplane story that involved a woman and a baby…

“Half an hour into a New York to London flight, passengers in business class noticed a woman with a crying baby being brought through the curtains by a flight attendant. They looked on in mild horror as they saw the attendant direct her into an empty seat next to James Corden.

“Expecting a huge celebrity hissy fit to kick off, Corden’s cabin-mates were impressed to see that he didn’t say a word or make any sort of complaint. He simply put on a pair of noise-canceling headphones, pulled an eye mask over his eyes, and turned away from her to sleep,” wrote the user. “Pretty decent of him, right.”

They continued: “When the plane landed though, passengers were surprised to see Corden remain seated as the woman with the baby struggled to open the overhead locker.

  via Getty Images

“And even more surprised when she turned to Corden and said, ‘For f**** sake can you at least hold the baby while I get the bags down?’

“The woman was his wife.

“The baby was his baby,” the user revealed.

Since then, a clip from CBS’ The Late Late Show has resurfaced and has left fans thinking Corden is an abusive boss too.

  via Getty Images

Journalist Sam Stryker reposted the clip on Twitter from a 2016 episode of the show in which Corden and fellow late-night host, Jimmy Kimmel played a round of ‘Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts’.

“Obviously those stories are anecdotal but I found it so telling when Corden couldn’t name any of his cameramen during a segment on his own show. These are the guys who he owes his image + livelihood to!” Stryker tweeted.

  via Getty Images

According to the New York Post, Corden’s segment is simple: He and his guests either answered personal questions or opted to eat disgusting dishes, such as a bull p**** or a fish smoothie.

During Kimmel’s turn, he asked Corden to “Name 2 of the cameramen in this room.”

  via Getty Images

“That is a great question,” he said before taking a glance around his set. “It’s a different crew tonight, actually,” Corden tried, joking.

He was then forced to take a sip of a fish smoothie as he couldn’t name any crew members.

However, a year later during a Q&A segment with his audience, Corden and his crew poked fun at his blunder, and reportedly 2 crowd members, who worked for the show gave Corden another chance to name 2 cameramen.

“Their names?” the comedian repeated. “Well, that’s easy. That’s … Sebastian.”

  via Getty Images

“No, it’s Brian,” the cameraman responded.

“Well, Brian is short for Sebastian in England,” Corden joked.

When Corden was then asked to name a second cameraman, he said that they have a nickname.

“We actually have a nickname for each other. We call each other ‘Big Boy,’” he replied.

  via Getty Images

“Help me out because your contract is up soon,” he added.

Corden then jokingly called the “irrelevant” cameramen “monkeys” as the crew members pretended to leave the stage.

  via Getty Images

And this didn’t sit well with one alleged restaurant worker who took a dig at Corden and replied to Stryker’s tweet on the resurfaced clip.

“The list of celebrities I’ve waited on throughout my years working in OC at the ritz, and other high-end places is vast. Most celebrities are nice, some are bad tippers. However, there are a few celebrities that really take the cake, James is 1. So rude!” he said.
