James Hong has become the oldest person to have a star on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The actor, director, and producer was presented with his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday.
Hong is an incredible ninety-three-years-old.
Hong’s had an incredible career which has spanned for more than 7 decades.
And, according to VT, during that time, Hong has gathered more than 650 film and TV credits to his name.
Pretty impressive, right?
Hong was presented with his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at a ceremony in front of Madame Tussauds where he was joined by Daniel Dae Kim and Jamie Lee Curtis.
The outlet reports that the presentation of the star was presided over by Representative Judy Chu from the Congressional Asian Pacific Caucus and had been timed to align with Asian/Pacific Heritage Month.
According to the outlet, Hong addressed the crowd as he was presented his star saying: “As you can see, I don’t have any speeches, because I’m not that kind of person. I just come here. I want to feel the moment.”
Adding: “I’m here! I’m alive,” Hong then showed the crowds some of his dance moves.
Hong was nominated for the award by Daniel Dae Kim, who also spoke thanking Hong for his “body of work, your quality of work, and your strength of character.”
“You are truly deserving of the honor you are about to receive, and you make us all so very proud,” Kim said.
NBC reports that Hong is 1 of just nineteen people of Asian descent to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
