Jamie Foxx Is Now Absolutely Shredded After Bulking up to Play Mike Tyson in Biopic

Jamie Foxx has been confirmed to be playing Mike Tyson in a new biopic and, predictably, he is now absolutely shredded after bulking up for the role…

He began his career with nineteen consecutive knockouts; he won his first thirty-seven fights and was the heavyweight champion of the world at the ripe age of twenty years old. It’s needless to say that he is one of the biggest names in the world of boxing.

In 2005, Tyson stepped into the ring for the very last time. After a series of mishaps in his life – serving a prison sentence for sexual assault and biting off an opponent’s ear, just to name a few – a lot of people argued that Tyson had lost his game, despite remaining the heavyweight champion of the world.

Tyson’s lavish and outlandish lifestyle choices were often met with scrutiny. He has also battled with alcohol and opiate addictions throughout his life and has admitted to being under the influence during many of his big fights.

After years of substance abuse, Tyson now admits to using medicinal marijuana to relieve his muscle pain. Having found his new passion, in 2016, the former heavyweight champion launched “Tyson Holistic,” which sells a number of marijuana products and merchandise.

After years of using opiates to treat his pain, Tyson is now heavily-invested in the use of CBD as his primary pain relief method. In an interview, Tyson explained, “I’ve been fighting for over 20 years, and my body has a lot of wear and tear. I had two surgeries and I used marijuana to calm my nerves, and it would take the pain away … But before, they had me on those opiates, and those opiates had me all screwed up”.

Tyson credits the use of CBD and medicinal marijuana for helping him to conquer his opiate addiction. Tyson Holistics now invests in a number of different companies that use CBD in their products, as well as developing and launching their own cannabis-oriented brands.

One year on from the launch of Tyson Holistics, “Tyson Ranch” was born. The resort has been described as a holistic center for health and wellness. Though it isn’t fully built yet, Mike Tyson has claimed that this will be his marijuana empire… and we don’t expect anything less.

Tyson hasn’t wasted any time in cashing in on the state’s recent legalization. California is the 6th state to legalize the recreational use of marijuana. California’s mayor, Jennifer Wood, is apparently thrilled with the project and has claimed that it will be a “rebirth” of what California City once was.

Tyson’s business partner, Rob Hickman explained: “Everything we do is federally legal. We never touch the plants. Now, a lot of people do rent land from us and grow their products on it. If they grow it to the proper standards and are licensed properly in the state, we will consider selling them our packaging, which then gives them shelf space”.

Though Tyson Ranch isn’t all about the profit.

One of the main aims of the Ranch is to implement new and cutting-edge technology to aid the on-going research on medicinal marijuana and its many health benefits.

Tyson’s existing brand, Tyson Holistics, is comprised mainly of veteran employees. Tyson explained, “I’m a big fan of veterans and I think they’ve given a lot to our country and we should give some back in return … Especially with all of the addiction that many of them come back with”.

The primary aim of all of Tyson’s cannabis ventures is to change the negative stigma around the drug – and he’s adamant that change is on the horizon. He expressed in an interview, “cannabis is the future, and eventually, everyone is going to have to give in”.

It seems he’s very much held onto those boxing skills more than a decade on from hanging up his gloves.

Especially during the lockdown period. Just because he’s retired doesn’t at all mean he’s ready to slow down!

It’s safe to say that this man has lived a life that we could only dream of living…

So it makes perfect sense for a biopic to be made about the former boxing legend.

And it has been reported that the biopic will relive Tyson’s provocative and turbulent life.

None other than Jamie Foxx, of course!

“We want to show everybody evolves,” Foxx said to PEOPLE. “I think when we lay the layer of Mike Tyson in this story, I think everybody from young and old will be able to understand this man’s journey.”

And it goes without saying that he’s been preparing physically too.

During a recent episode of Catching Up with Mark Birnbaum, the actor revealed how he’s transforming his body to look just like Tyson.

He says he has a daily workout regimen of sixty pull-ups, sixty dips, and 100 push-ups. “It’s changing the body. Top half.”

“I ain’t got no legs, I ain’t got no calf muscles so we’re gonna have to get some prosthetics for that,” he explained.

And when he’ll transition into an older Tyson, he’ll balloon to 225-230 which will look like 250 on-screen.
