Country music star, Jason Aldean has spoken out about his outrage in regards to California’s vaccination mandate for children…

Jason Aldean has hit back at the introduction of a vaccination mandate in California.

And he’s encouraged others to do the same…

It comes after Governor Gavin Newsom announced plans for California to become the first state in the country that will require schoolchildren to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

School children attending public or private schools will be required to have the vaccine as it will be added to a list of 10 other vaccines required in California schools, Insider reports.

The requirement will come into full effect in the first school semester once the vaccine has been approved for use in children by the US Food and Drug Administration.

As per the outlet, once the mandate is in place, it will first apply to school children in grades 7 to twelve.

Taking to Instagram to criticize the mandate, Aldean slammed Newsom for making “decisions for us now.”

Sharing a picture of a headline, Aldean wrote: “So let me get this straight! It is no longer our decisions as parents (or free Americans) to make decisions about our kids, Gavin Newsom makes those decisions for us now?? You gotta be kidding me! People in California should be outraged and people everywhere else better start standing up and speaking out NOW. This is not how America and being free works.”

Of course, Aldean’s post sparked quite the conversation in the comments as some questioned: “Why this has to be such a big deal?”

While others praised Aldean for “speaking out for the ones who either can’t or won’t.”
The news comes shortly after the Aldean family was criticized after Jason’s wife, Brittany Aldean, shared pictures to Instagram of herself and their 2 children wearing anti-Biden clothing.
