Jennifer Garner Says She Knows Her Post-Baby Body Won’t Bounce Back, and She’s Okay With It

Fans are praising Jennifer Garner for being candid about her post-pregnancy body, and how she’s ok with it not bouncing back.

Society puts a lot of pressure put on moms, to not just play the perfect part, but look the part too, and as a result, many women feel the need to “bounce back” to the body they had before their pregnancy.

For women in the public eye, this pressure is increased tenfold, and it can have a huge impact on their self-esteem, even impacting negatively on their mental health.

However, actress Jennifer Garner is doing all she can to break this idea that we all have to “bounce back,” and instead is promoting a positive body image to all women struggling with their post-baby bodies.

She spoke out in a podcast, and revealed that people still spread rumors that she’s pregnant due to her alleged “belly.” Jennifer said: “I’m 48, and I’m single. And it’s still happening.”

“It’s just a body. Be grateful for it. It carried you this far. It carried babies for you. What else do you want? My goodness.” She explained, “The bump is not going anywhere. Its name is Violet, Sam, and Sera.’’

She added: “I can work really hard, and I can be really fit and I will still look like a woman who’s had 3 babies, and I always will.”

People have been praising the star after she spoke out, sharing their stories and thanking her for being candid about having a realistic body image.

One Facebook user wrote: “I think she looks fantastic. And most importantly she is a freaking amazing person. Good for her taking it in stride and loving herself as she is. Also people… stop asking women if they are pregnant. It sets everyone up for hurt feelings and or embarrassment. If you see someone and think they are pregnant then just silently to yourself be happy for them and send out good vibes. That way everyone wins.”

Another commented: “There’s a reason mom jeans exist.
For moms and their new bodies. Bringing new life to the world is hard work, so of course, a mom’s body is forever changed. Not just with pregnancy, but breastfeeding too. Everything changes.”
