Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have just announced that they now officially endorse Joe Biden for president.
Keep on reading to see what they had to say about our potential future president...
Now, you don't get any more iconic than Jennifer Lopez.
via: GettyAnyone who is anyone knows of JLo.
Her career was launched in the film industry...
via: GettyJennifer began her career as an actress starring in many blockbuster hits such as Maid in Manhattan and Monster-In-Law, and she even guest-starred in 2 episodes of Will & Grace.
Though she is a woman of many talents.
The star also hits the headlines for her love life.
Jennifer and Alex first went public in 2017.
via: GettyThe loved up pair were both cautious about who they dated publicly and kept their relationship under wraps for some time. Speaking in April of 2017 on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Alex talked about how the pair hooked up.
Jen is a woman who gets what she wants.
via: GettyAlex told Ellen that, upon encountering the star, "We basically had a small chit-chat... and she says, 'You have my number, reach out.' And I went home that night and reached out." They make it seem so easy!
Would you look at them now!
Both Jen and Alex have children from previous marriages.
It seems as if all of the kids are totally down for this romance.
I mean, who wouldn't want Jennifer Lopez as their step-mom?
via: GettyFrankly, I think the success of this modern family is that both parties have dived in and invested in each other's children's lives.
Family is clearly very important to both Jen and Alex...
A date for the wedding is yet to be set...
We can only imagine how stunning she will look...
via: GettyAnd of course, they will make for the most beautiful husband and wife!
They're clearly a match made in heaven...
via: GettyAnd to make things even better, they share the same political views.
Okay, so we know that not everyone appreciates celebrities getting involved with politics...
The pair have officially put their support behind former vice president Joe Biden for the 2020 presidential election.
via: InstagramJennifer posted a video showing a conversation that she and Alex had with Biden and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, on Instagram recently. She wrote: "To my Latinos, we’re more powerful together... join me in getting loud. Your voice is your vote. What is your voting plan?"
The couple are clearly very passionate about Biden's campaign...
via: Instagram"We're thrilled and we're excited to vote," Alex said in the video call. "I think our voice has never been more important. We want to come together as a team to defeat COVID and to rebuild this U.S. economy that needs us all so much."
The problems that our country has with racism are clearly a huge issue for both Jen and Alex.
via: Instagram"For me, it's [about] unifying the nation again, getting rid of this hate," Jen then added. "I hate thinking about my kids walking around in a world where it's okay to be racist or prejudiced because our [Trump] administration says it's OK. That, to me, is really sad because it's not the country that I believe I grew up in. Latinos have been one of the hardest [hit] communities by COVID... What's the plan to contain the virus and get our communities back to work again and to bring us together again?"
Biden responded to Jen with this:
via: Instagram"There's a lot we can do. I know you know this, Jennifer. A Latino is three times more like to be infected by the COVID virus than a white person," he explained. "[There are] 3 million unemployed, [and] 200,000 dreamers are on the frontlines of essential workers risking their lives right now. That's not an exaggeration, that's a fact. One in three Latino small businesses are gone."
Alex then noted that he believes that this year's presidential election should focus on humanity, not party affiliation.
via: Getty"I've been saying this for a long time," Biden responded. "I'm gonna run as a proud Democrat, but I'm not a Democratic president. I am an American president."
Even though Jennifer's Instagram post received a lot of praise...
via: FacebookEspecially from Biden supporters, not everyone was happy.
Many feel celebrities shouldn't be publically pushing on who to vote for...
via: FacebookAnd Jen has been ultimately slammed as "untrustworthy."
Do you think celebrities should be honest about their political opinions?
via: FacebookOr should they just stick to doing what they do best... by being celebrities?
