Jennifer Lopez took to Instagram to share her joy over Joe Biden and Kamala Harris' election win yesterday, and things became a little emotional...

Evidently, Jlo is very pleased with yesterday's election result...

So much so that she burst into tears in a video sent out to her 133 million Instagram followers. Yep, I told you things were emotional.

Now, you don't get any more iconic than Jlo.

Anyone who is anyone knows of the iconic actress-turned-pop star.

Her career was launched in the film industry...

Jennifer began her career as an actress starring in many blockbuster hits such as Maid in Manhattan and Monster-In-Law, and she even guest-starred in 2 episodes of Will & Grace.

Though she is a woman of many talents.

Jennifer has also released a number of big hits, some of which had major success on the pop and dance charts.

The star also hits the headlines for her love life.

Jennifer is currently engaged to Alex Rodriguez.

Jennifer and Alex first went public in 2017.

The loved up pair were both cautious about who they dated publicly and kept their relationship under wraps for some time. Speaking in April of 2017 on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Alex talked about how the pair hooked up.

Alex told Ellen that, upon encountering the star, "We basically had a small chit-chat... and she says, 'You have my number, reach out.' And I went home that night and reached out."

Would you look at them now!

After their whirlwind romance, the pair quickly settled into each other's lives.

Both Jen and Alex have children from previous marriages.

But this modern family certainly seems to be tight-knit. Jen has twins, Maximilian “Max" David, and Emme Maribe, from her previous marriage to Marc Anthony. Alex has daughters Ella Alexander, eleven, and Natasha Alexander, fourteen, from his previous marriage to a lady called Cynthia Scurtis.

It seems as if all of the kids are totally down for this romance.

There appears to be no animosity from either side, and the 2 families have fused into one big happy family.

I mean, who wouldn't want Jennifer Lopez as their step-mom?

Frankly, I think the success of this modern family is that both parties have dived in and invested in each other's children's lives.

Family is clearly very important to both Jen and Alex...

And what first attracted Jen to the baseball star was his evident family values. Now fifty-one years old, Jennifer is no longer interested in dating boys. The Hustlers star wanted to date a real man - someone to raise a family with.

And in March last year...

The pair made things even more official by announcing their engagement!

A date for the wedding is yet to be set...

And of course, all fans can think about is what dress JLo will choose for her big day.

They're clearly a match made in heaven...

And to make things even better, they share the same political views.

Okay, so we know that not everyone appreciates celebrities getting involved with politics...

But Jen and Alex recently announced some pretty major news in regard to this year's explosive presidential election.

The pair officially put their support behind Democtratic candidate, Joe Biden, for the 2020 presidential election.

Jennifer posted a video showing a conversation that she and Alex had with Biden and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, on Instagram recently. She wrote: "To my Latinos, we’re more powerful together... join me in getting loud. Your voice is your vote. What is your voting plan?"

The couple are clearly very passionate about Biden's campaign...

"We're thrilled and we're excited to vote," Alex said in the video call. "I think our voice has never been more important. We want to come together as a team to defeat COVID and to rebuild this U.S. economy that needs us all so much."

The problems that our country has with racism are clearly a huge issue for both Jen and Alex.

"For me, it's [about] unifying the nation again, getting rid of this hate," Jen then added. "I hate thinking about my kids walking around in a world where it's okay to be racist or prejudiced because our [Trump] administration says it's OK. That, to me, is really sad because it's not the country that I believe I grew up in. Latinos have been one of the hardest [hit] communities by COVID... What's the plan to contain the virus and get our communities back to work again and to bring us together again?"

Biden responded to Jen with this:

"There's a lot we can do. I know you know this, Jennifer. A Latino is 3 times more like to be infected by the COVID virus than a white person," he explained. "[There are] 3 million unemployed, [and] 200,000 dreamers are on the frontlines of essential workers risking their lives right now. That's not an exaggeration, that's a fact. One in three Latino small businesses are gone."

Well, as you will all know, Biden rose to victory yesterday...

As has been projected to be the forty-sixth president of the United States.

And it hasn't taken Jennifer long to express her excitement.

Yesterday morning, she posted a video - from her bed, of course - onto her Instagram Stories to share her happiness and relief over the result.

But she was so excited, that she ended up in tears.

"So happy this morning. Echoing the words of everyone saying that we are headed toward a better day, a more united country... I’m just crying tears of joy."

She continued:

"I hope that we can all come together and love each other and appreciate each other. It’s a new day."

Jlo then made reference to the vice president-elect, Kamala Harris...

Who is both the first woman and the first person of color to be elected into office. "History is being made today for all little girls who got loud across the world. It is an amazing, amazing day. God bless everybody."
