Plus, Renner has featured on tracks with Pink and Sam Feldt.
And his first musical venture, The Medicine, was released in March 2020
You may also remember Renner for his slightly bizarre app creation.
He created the infamous Jeremy Renner app back in 2017.
The app was essentially a feed of solely Renner’s pictures and updates.
But due to controversy and some internet mocking, the app was shut down for good in 2019.
However, Renner has remained active on other social media.
Including Instagram – which will become more important later in the story.
However, Renner has most recently made the headlines for a heartbreaking reason.
And it’s to do with the major snowstorms that the US was battling over the New Year weekend.
The weather in the US this winter has been nothing short of historic.
With towns and cities all across the country brought to a standstill by dropping temperatures and deep snow.
So far, at least 60 people across eight states have been killed by the inclement weather.
While power cuts and blackouts have troubled homes across the country.
And one area that was truly horribly affected was Reno, Nevada.
Which is where Renner was spending the holidays with his family.
The actor was involved in a “weather-related” accident.
And as result, the 51-year-old was hospitalized.
It was announced that the accident happened whilst he was ploughing snow in Nevada.
Renner was trying to clear the roads outside of his house when the incident happened…
He was reportedly air-lifted to hospital, and underwent surgery.
According to People, a statement provided by his representative said his family are grateful to the “incredible doctors and nurses looking after him.”
It added: “They are also tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative of the outpouring of love and support from his fans.”
His accident is currently being investigated, but it’s reported that Renner was the only person involved.
He suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries following the incident on New Year’s Day, his publicist confirmed.
It’s truly heartbreaking.
Another update on his condition followed…
It was announced that Renner is now out of surgery…
However, he remained in a critical but stable condition.
Fellow MCU star Mark Ruffalo has also spoken out on the incident.
Ruffalo and Renner are co-stars in the iconic Avengers movies.
“Prayers up for our brother on a full and speedy recovery,” he shared. “Please send healing goodness his way.”
Then, new details were revealed by the sheriff’s office…
Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam opened up in a press conference.
“We do not believe Mr. Renner was impaired at all and we believe this is a tragic accident.”
“Based on the investigation, it’s at this point that Mr. Renner is run over by the PistonBully,” the Sheriff explained.
“An eyewitness detailed seeing Mr. Renner getting into the PistonBully, and not seeing him again until the PistonBully came to a rest in a pile of snow in front of his driveway.”
“We don’t suspect any foul play.”
“The investigation is ongoing,” Balaam concluded.
And following this explanation of the accident, fans of Renner rejoiced.
As Renner himself then offered an update from the hospital on Instagram which prompted floods of support.
“Speedy recovery buddy. Sending love your way!” Chris Hemsworth commented.
“Continued prayers your way brutha,” added Chris Pratt.
While Jimmy Fallon added: “Lotsa love out there for you bud.”
“My brother I love you,” offered Taika Waititi.
“Brother u r a superhero to all of us. U will get through this with flying colors. Love and positive energy to u!” Steve Aoki echoed.

“I’m so happy you made this post. Sending you so much love and healing energy. We love you.”
While Vanessa Hudgens added: “Sending so much love n healing!”
And it seems as though the internet agrees, as the post quickly got over 5 million likes and 200,000 comments!
He took to social media to share a shocking hospital snap, and type a quick message to let people know how he’s doing.
But it was the horrifying photograph of Renner’s swollen and bloody face that really got everyone talking.
“I’m too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all,” he wrote on Instagram, alongside a harrowing photo of his injuries.
Authorities also confirmed the weight of the vehicle which injured Renner.
Balaam explained Renner had been “run over” by an “extremely large piece of snow-removal equipment.”
The typical weight of these plows is “at least 14,330 pounds.”
It’s believed Renner bore the brunt of the vehicle’s weight on his legs, causing major blood loss.
Renner next shared a brand new update from his hospital bed.
He shared a video of himself alongside his mom and sister.
They were giving him a well-deserved head massage.
“A ‘not no great’ ICU DAY, turned to amazing spa day with my sis and mama,” he tweeted. “Thank you sooooo much.”
A new source for Renner then opened up.
They told Yahoo: “It’s much worse than anyone knows. Jeremy is very aware of the fact that he almost died out there.”
“The right side of Jeremy’s chest was crushed, and his upper torso had collapsed. He also had a bad head wound that was bleeding and a leg injury.”
The source added that Renner “almost bled out.”
Renner then shared his progress with fans.
A new episode of Renner’s show, Mayor or Kingstown, came out last week.
And he revealed to fans he was able to watch from the comfort of his own couch!
“Outside my brain fog in recovery, I was very excited to watch episode 201 with my family at home,” he tweeted.
And now, Renner has shared a brand new update.
“Much love to you all,” he wrote.
He also shared the extent of his injuries!
“These 30 plus broken bones will mend, grow stronger, just like the love and bond with family and friends deepens.”
Our thoughts go out to Jeremy and his family at this difficult time, and we wish him a speedy recovery.
