Jessica Biel Posts Make-Up Free Selfie and Breaks the Internet | 22 Words

It's so refreshing to see celebrities without a hundred layers of make-up. When the #NoMakeup and #NoFilter hashtags appeared a few years ago, celebrities joined in to inspire others to go make-up free.

Now, Kate Upton has launched a new initiative, #ShareStrong, which aims to empower the women of the internet and ladies are flooding in to post their beautiful selfies, sharing the reasons that they feel strong. Jessica Biel is the most recent celeb to post to Instagram in support of the movement and her make-up free pic has well and truly broken the internet.

Keep reading to learn more about #ShareStrong, to see Biel's stunning pic and to see just how the internet has responded to the reminder that Jessica Biel is quite simply perfect.

More and more, celebrities are choosing to post make-up free photos for their fans to see.

Every one of them has their own reasons for it, but usually, it’s to inspire other women (and men!) to feel confident in their own skin.

Here are the breathtaking, no make-up snaps that celebrities have taken so far in 2019.

Lady Gaga showed off her natural glow and the one-hundred and forty-one year old Tiffany diamond, last worn by Audrey Hepburn, in preparation for the Oscars.

Jennifer Lopez took a brave shot.

In the caption, she wrote, "#nofilterFriday #nomakeupday #lovemeasIam ???" We, too, love you as you are.

The strong and gorgeous Kesha posted this beautiful picture.

And her caption was just as beautiful: "This year my resolution is to love myself... just as I am, all fucked up and imperfect and whatever else. And to let my freckles liiiiiiiive ????????????" Ladies and gentlemen, take notes.

The not-so-invisible "Invisible Woman", Jessica Alba posted, too!

Jessica took the photo while getting ready for a crazy weekend, it seems: "Love you Boo @shanidarden thank you for hooking up mah face! Feeling Hydrated and ready for the freakin weekend ??‍♀️??‍♀️"

Here's Alicia Keys, who went completely make-up free.

She wrote, "This is how I start most of my mornings off— in grounding and gratitude and asking for clarity. Envisioning the day and putting light around it."

Kourtney Kardashian shared a pic of her during her goofy "Me Time."

Kourtney was having a beauty night with her sister Kim who, she wrote on Instagram, "convinced [her] to use this face mask" and it made her "feel stunning."

Emmy Rossum looks gorgeous on a "human" New Year’s Day vacation.

"Vacation is for not combing your eyebrows," she wrote unapologetically. We totally agree!

Lana Del Rey is clearly not yet feeling any "summertime sadness."

Taking a break from her signature cat eye black eyeliner, she wrote, "DIY forever ???? or...."

Drew Barrymore inspired all forty-something-year-olds.

Quoting 50 Cent, she wrote, "44 and NEVER BETTER. Go shorty, it’s my birthday!"

America’s Next Top Model's Tyra Banks looks as beautiful as always!

You'd think a famous model like Tyra would know she's stunning wherever, whenever. But under the gorgeous picture, she wrote, "Lookin' like my son ??"

Post-workout Sarah Michelle Gellar shared this pic.

"This is me, right after my first Tabata class. The joke was on me. I thought my friend said meet for ciabatta. This pic is #nomakeup #nofilter and probably the last time I will be upright for the rest of the week. (If anyone needs me, I will be soaking my body in epson salts) The sweat is real people, so is the pain."

A natural Gwyneth Paltrow is beautiful Gwyneth Paltrow.

She posted a tribute to her husband, saying, "Be mine @bradfalchuk ❤️"

Matriarch, Kris Jenner joined the crowd, too.

Kris was having an "early morning (and I mean early) haircut with @mrchrismcmillan" and she looked great!

All-round beautiful human being, Zendaya, frequently shares make-up free photos!

It seems she's been getting a lot of fresh air, because she wrote "Thank you sun," grateful for that stunning mid-March glow.

Riverdale's Lili Reinhart posted a picture, too.

Lili isn't a stranger to midnight snacks. She wrote, "When I wanted eggs and toast at 1am." You look gorgeous, Lili!

And, of course, Julianne Hough, who never has a bad hair day is just as beautiful without make-up as she is with it!

"Morning cuddles with my love❤️" Guess she does "wake up like that."

Earlier this year, Kylie Jenner joined the 2019 no make-up list, too.

Back in March, Kylie talked to Interview about being a role model and the influence of social media. When asked if she considers herself to be a role model, Kylie admitted, "I feel like I felt a lot more pressure to become a role model when I had my daughter because I know she’s going to look up to me and I want to be the best example I can be."

But social media is, frankly, exhausting.

"I can’t remember the day when I didn’t have millions of people telling me their opinion on everything that I do, so I have no idea what it would be like for that not to happen."

So, really, it was a super brave move for Kylie to bare all on Instagram earlier this year with this pic.

And people certainly had a lot to say about the picture, with some claiming that Kylie is not inspirational for posing bare-faced because of the cosmetic surgery that she has had done in the past. Can't please everyone, eh? We think that Kylie, and each and every one of these women, look stunning and we admire them for using their platforms to show us all that it doesn't matter what anyone thinks; we're beautiful with make-up, and without.

Which is what Kate Upton's movement is all about!

#ShareStrong is about sharing the struggles and strengths that come with being a woman. In Kate's own words, #ShareStrong is "a space where we all can be part of the conversation, empower one another, and radiate positivity." Yes, Kate!

She encouraged women to share the things that make them feel strong using the hashtag.

And she shared her own inspiration, too: "I’m strong for my daughter, I want her to feel comfortable to radiate strength, power and confidence. I realize that starts with me. Now I encourage you to join the conversation and share why you’re strong. #ShareStrong."

And people have been doing just that.

@ladyjlife shared that her son makes her feel strong. She wrote: "Tripp has shown me strength I didn’t know I had. Being strong doesn’t mean showing up perfectly. Most of the time it just means showing up the best that I can." We totally agree! We can only do our best, and there's strength in powering through for those we love.

This beautiful lady had a similar inspiration.

"My motivation is my daughter, I want to show her how to grow everyday and stay true and humble. Be more accepting of yourself and others."

Some people shared that their strength came from their less-than-positive life experiences.

@lezrockwithame wrote: "My #sharestrong is the strength to overcome all the challenges in my life (sexual assault, drugs abused, depression and many more) Love who you are and don't be afraid to tell the side of your story. Some people may not support you but there will always be that one person who will."

The movement has encouraged many women to share make-up free selfies.

And each and every one of them is reminding us that it's beautiful and powerful to embrace who we are.

As the stunning @lindseygilligan wrote...

"Cheers to all of the women putting in the hard work, learning how to be proud of who you are and love yourself! From exciting opportunities to road blocks, we all have moments in life that have tested us and made us who we are today. We are so much more than filters and fake lashes. #sharestrong."

Jessica Biel joined in on the hashtag, posting this pic last night.

Doesn't she look amazing?! She's glowing!

Jessica wrote:

"Spreading some self love today with zero filter and zero makeup for my girl @KateUpton. She’s on a mission to encourage everyone to feel strong and love themselves *as they are*... and I’m so honored to help spread that message. Take a second to show the real you. Tag someone you admire and pass it on ❤️💪#ShareStrong."

The internet has gone crazy over the pic.
