But this week, Simpson has hit headlines for a different reason…
A rather controversial ad that has gotten the whole internet talking!
The ad in question was for Pottery Barn.
But no one was focused on the cute homeware…
In fact, everyone couldn’t take their eyes off how weird Simpson acted in it.
“Hi, I’m Jessica Simpson, and welcome to my daughter Birdie’s room, designed by Pottery Barn Kids and a little bit of me,” she began.
“I was really drawn to the geometric prints and the color scheme.
“This really, to me, is Birdie’s personality!
“Thank you everyone for checking out the adorable room of Birdie Mae Johnson,” Simpson concluded.
All the while, Simpson was obviously slurring her words in a worrying manner.
Fans also noticed she appeared stilted and stiff.
Simpson also looked exceptionally thin and gaunt.
“Why does she talk like that now?” one fan commented.
“It’s just strange, it’s in every video of her talking. Like she is trying really hard to get the words right.”
However, others showed their support for the star.
“It’s sad that all these comments are about her appearance. It’s none of anyone’s business. I wish people were kinder,” one wrote.
“If she does have an eating disorder it’s not her fault so these comments are not helpful being ridiculed over her weight gain after her pregnancies,” added another.
“For the haters, she has always been a small woman, just not when pregnant (as 95% of women) – so cut her some slack. Let her live!” defended a third.
“As much as I have learned to block out destructive noise … people’s comments and judgments can still hurt deeply with their incessant nagging ‘You will never be good enough,’” she shared in an Instagram story.
“I am capable of pretty much anything I care enough about to put my mind to,” she continued. “I am present. I am deeply inspired. I am determined. I am honest. I care about other people.”
“I woke up at the same time anxious and insecure but also angry and defensive — like some of you.
“I know what works for me and that is to let go and simply sing while looking directly inside the mirror, straight in my eyes to really see and understand myself,” Simpson explained.
“I can connect with my heartbeat. I am stable and strong. I am home.
“Live inside your dreams and move through them. Don’t give up on yourself because someone else did. Stay true to YOU,” she concluded.
And now, Simpson has admitted that she had a secret affair with a married A-lister!
She revealed the details in “Movie Star: They Always Say They’re Single,” a “short and true story” published Wednesday.
“He gave me a different hug — a modified celebrity embrace he held a few seconds longer than I expected. As our mutual friend, my bodyguard, talked, this megastar, who I grew up thinking was so hot, eyeballed me up and down. Like he was undressing me with his eyes,” Simpson wrote.
“No man had ever been so up front about looking at me in a provocative way. At least that I wanted to look at me that way. He placed a hand on my hip and leaned in so I could hear him better.”
“It made me feel special that every beautiful woman in Hollywood was there and he wanted me. In fact, there was one other beautiful woman in his life: his girlfriend,” she wrote.
“Shortly after, I saw a photo of Movie Star on a red carpet with her. I was never ever in a million years going to be the other woman.”
“Whereas a lot of guys were told by their management teams to steer clear of me or get sucked into my fame vortex, he was a seasoned vet in Hollywood, with a fame that was much greater than mine,” Simpson continued.
“He had already achieved levels of success that nobody would ever obtain, so he didn’t really have people telling him what to do. And I actually liked that about him. He was very authentic.”
