After that, she went on to achieve true greatness as a pop artist.

Her second track was just as catchy as her first... But it had such a different vibe.

Back in 2011, her single, "Price Tag," was an international hit, topping the charts in a whopping nineteen different countries.

It really highlighted her versatility as a musician.

Upon hearing the news, well wishes poured in for the singer.

Posting to Instagram, she described what was going on with her health.

In the one-minute clip, she talked about how she was hospitalized on Christmas Eve and that's what led to her diagnosis.

She wrote about her feelings in the captions, as well as describing her pain in the video.

"I have often in the past been open and honest about health challenges I have faced. Big or small. This was no different."

She continued:

"BUT... Since going live I have watched the media take 3 words from this live and create a very dramatic version of the truth. I’m not surprised BUT I also know I too have the power to set the story straight."

She wanted to tell her own story in her own words.

"I’m not posting this for sympathy. I'm posting this because this is the truth. I don’t want anyone thinking I lied about what actually happened. Appreciate EVERYONE who has taken the time out to check on me, those who have offered advice and support. Thank you. You know who you are."

In the video she emphasized how confusing it all was:

"I woke up and felt like I was completely deaf in my right ear, couldn’t walk in a straight line."

And that's when they diagnosed her with Ménière’s syndrome.

"Basically I got told I had Ménière’s syndrome. I know that a lot of people suffer from it and I’ve actually had a lot of people reach out to me and give me great advice, so I’ve just been laying low in silence. Now’s the first time I’ve been able to sing and bear it."

For those of you that don't know Ménière’s syndrome is a disease that affects the ear.

It causes severe dizziness and nausea and if left untreated, it can damage a person's hearing permanently.

But Jessie J remains positive about her future.

There are medicines that can be taken to minimize the vertigo that comes with it, but other than that, it's just all about the individual's lifestyle.

The heartbreaking thing about it all was when she said she misses performing...

As a singer, her life is on the stage, but it's time for her to put her health first.

Regardless, she's happy to be raising awareness on the issue...

Ménière’s syndrome should not be treated lightly, it requires a lot of management but people that have diagnosed with it can still live a long and happy life.

She ended the video by making a light-hearted joke about what she looked like at 1 AM...

Which put her fans at ease.

Hopefully, she's back on the big stage in no time.

We're all praying for her recovery.
