The Counting On star shared the news of her and Derick’s new arrival on their family website.

“He was born 7/7/2022 at 5:16 pm weighing 7lbs. 6oz. and is 20 inches long,” they wrote.

The couple also shares 2 other sons, Israel, 7, and Samuel, 5, and according to Jill and Derick, their newborn arrived earlier than anticipated, just one day before Samuel’s birthday.

“So we had our planned C-section a bit before originally planned,” they wrote.

“Both Jill and Frederick are healthy and are enjoying bonding while we look forward to bringing him home from the hospital soon!”

And while this is a happy time for the couple, fans have been sharing that they’re furious at their son’s name choice…

One Facebook user wrote: “Let’s not label him as a Duggar.”

Another commented: “She’s a Dillard and doesn’t stand for all the cr*p her other family members do.”

Clearly, fans are outraged as they want people to stop referring to the baby as a ‘Duggar’ because of Josh’s heinous crimes.

“‘Freddy’ Frederick Michael Dillard is here!” they wrote.

  via Getty Images

“Frederick means ‘Peaceful Ruler’ and Michael means ‘Gift from God,'” also adding that it’s meaningful to the pair “since it’s Derick’s name with ‘Fre’ added to the front, to make ‘Fre-derick.'”

They explained the decision, writing: “Similarly, Derick’s name is a variation of his late dad’s name, Rick, that his parents created by adding ‘de’ to the front of Rick to spell, ‘de’-‘rick,’ literally meaning son ‘of’ (de) Rick,” they continued.

“We were excited to settle on the name Frederick and incorporate both Derick’s and his dad’s name, by just adding ‘Fre’ to the beginning of Derick’s name.”

What do you think of the name?
