The Bidens have undeniably enjoyed an incredible few months.

In November 2020, Joe Biden was announced as America's forty-sixth president of the United States.

After one of the most divisive presidential elections in decades - and several voter fraud accusations from President Trump, of course - Biden emerged victorious.

On November 7th, the Associated Press called the race for Biden when Pennsylvania's twenty electoral votes put him over the 270-vote threshold needed to win the Electoral College...

Meaning that he had officially won the election.

Shortly after his victory, Biden tweeted this:

"America, I’m honored that you have chosen me to lead our great country. The work ahead of us will be hard, but I promise you this: I will be a President for all Americans -whether you voted for me or not. I will keep the faith that you have placed in me."

And, in the months following his win, Biden has been powering on full steam ahead.

The enthusiastic president-elect has wasted no time at all in outlining his plans for the next 4 years.

His main focus has been the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic...

Which, most of us can agree, President Trump has handled diabolically. Biden has promised a "real strategy to take on the threat of COVID-19, deliver immediate relief to working families, and reopen our schools and businesses safely."

He also has a recovery plan laid out for working families...

And has vowed to create millions of good-paying jobs, as well as to build back an economy that works for everyone.

The president-elect has even addressed the divisive topic of health care...

And revealed his plan to build on the Affordable Care Act by giving Americans more choice, reducing health care costs, and making our health care system less complex to navigate.

All in all, Biden has embraced his upcoming position with nothing but enthusiastic professionalism...

Which has left many Americans eager, excited, and optimistic for the next 4 years.

However, no professional is without their comical blunders, right?

As the country waited eagerly for the arrival of 2021 last week, the president-elect and his wife, Jill Biden, suffered an awkward, yet hilarious blunder on live television.

The couple made a virtual appearance on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve on ABC...

via: Twitter

Where they delivered their final message of 2020 to the nation.

Speaking to Ryan Seacrest from their home, the couple first congratulated essential and healthcare workers on their efforts during the pandemic...

via: Twitter

And encouraged American's far and wide to get vaccinated.

On the importance of the vaccine, Biden said this:

via: Twitter

"They [front-line and emergency workers] did so much, they risked their lives. They've done so much for us, and we owe them, we owe them, we owe them."

The future first lady then added:

via: Twitter

"We're so grateful for everything they did. They left their families and their homes so that we could be safe and all Americans truly appreciate what they did for us."

However, as their airtime drew to a close...

via: Twitter

The atmosphere became a little more humorous.

The couple wished viewers a happy new year before brandishing a confetti canon...

However, things didn't go exactly to plan.

Jill could be seen grappling with the canon...

via: Twitter

And laughing nervously as the device failed to explode with confetti.

As her husband offered a hand, the canon suddenly fell apart...

Leaving Jill with 2 chunks of plastic - and no confetti - laid uselessly in her hands.

But, ever the professionals, the couple simply laughed off the incident before saying a final goodbye.
