Joe Biden has delivered a stern warning to all of his new staff...
The news comes immediately after the president has stepped into his new role.
I applaud the Senate for putting partisanship aside to prioritize our national security. Americans can rest easy tonight knowing Avril Haines has been confirmed as the Director of National Intelligence.

Now, yesterday was a momentous day for our country.
After a fifty-year-long political career, Joe Biden was officially sworn is as the forty-sixth President of the United States.
Of course, his pre successor, Donald Trump, didn't attend the ceremony.
He confirmed his absence in a tweet earlier this month before being banned from Twitter.
Instead, Trump left Washington D.C on Air Force One first thing yesterday morning...
And headed for the Mar-A-Lago resort in Florida.
But regardless of Trump's controversial absence, the inauguration went ahead smoothly...
And the entire world watched on as President Biden and his vice president, Kamala Harris, made their way through the sacred ceremony.
Biden's swearing-in was an emotional moment for many Americans...
And it signalled a whole new era for our country.
And of course...

How can we not mention Lady Gaga's performance of the national anthem?!
Biden's first speech as president struck a chord with viewers, too.
The new president gave a lengthy and emotional speech, where he addressed the deeply divided nation on what the next 4 years will hold under his ruling.
Biden promised to "write an American story of hope"...
As well as weighing in on the devastating effects of the coronavirus pandemic and the issue of racial inequality across the country.
"Millions of jobs have been lost. Hundreds of thousands of businesses closed. A cry for racial justice, some 400 years in the making, moves us. The dream of justice for all will be deferred no longer. A cry for survival comes from the planet itself, a cry that can't be any more desperate or any more clear now."
He also became the first POTUS to ever challenge white supremacy in his inauguration speech.
He said this:
"The rise of political extremism, white supremacy, domestic terrorism, that we must confront and we will defeat. To overcome these challenges, to restore the soul and secure the future of America, requires so much more than words. It requires the most elusive of all things in a democracy - unity."
Most can agree that Biden's speech was nothing short of phenomenal...
And one that captured the hearts of the nation.
However, it seems that not everyone was too moved by it.
A day on from Biden's groundbreaking speech, footage has started circulating that allegedly shows former POTUS, Bill Clinton, nodding off in the audience next to his wife, Hilary Clinton.
But we'll let that slide for now.

It seems as though Biden's already finding comfort in his new role.
The president has already gotten to work...
From assigning new leaders to making sure the team around him is filled with strong candidates, Biden is ready to implement all the changes he needs to in order to ensure a powerful administration.
And that means everyone must be on the same page.
And, he's apparently warned all of his new staff about one specific rule.
People were shocked by his sternness regarding the issue...
I love that President Biden told staffers, they will be fired on the spot for disrespecting others on the job. That is a leader!

@POTUS @JoeBiden just swore in his staff and warned them If he hears anyone talk down or belittle anyone else they will be fired on the spot, no exception.

I love that empathy is back in the White House
I just heard President Biden tell his incoming staffers that if he ever hears they've disrespected anyone, they'll be fired on the spot and I IMMEDIATELY sat up straighter. Yes, sir. No bullying.

I honestly think it’s going to take years. Also, did you hear when President Biden told his staffers after swearing them in that people would be fired on the spot if they don’t treat everyone with decency & respect? 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

the possibilities to come of America is sooooo reviving 🤍 thank you @JoeBiden
Just heard @JoeBiden swearing in 1000 new WH employees. He urged everyone to be humble, serve the American people, fight racism, treat people with respect or be fired on the spot. Now that’s why tone at the top matters. #leadership #leadbyexample

Joe Biden: “If I hear you disrespecting someone or talking down to them, you’ll be fired on the spot... there’s no excuse for indecency.”

Adults are in charge again!!!
During a virtual swearing-in ceremony, President Biden said this:
"I'm not joking when I say this: If you're ever working with me and I hear you treat another colleague with disrespect, talk down to someone, I promise you I will fire you on the spot. No if, ands, or buts."
It's nice to have a leader that preaches empathy and respect.
This is a very powerful standard and we must normalize it across boardrooms and work places.

1. Treat people with decency.
2. Treat them with respect.
We must also normalize this standard on twitter. pic.twitter.com/Gs7QS880gR
