Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner Have Given Their Baby a ‘Ridiculous Game of Thrones Name’

It is reported that Sophie has given birth to a little girl.

But no one was expecting a choice quite so strange.

After each star having a string of high profile relationships, this coupling seemed meant to be, right from the start.

Musician, Joe Jonas and Game of Thrones actress, Sophie Turner was spotted arm in arm at the MTV EMAs, leading to much speculation as to whether the two stars were getting it on.

A mutual friend of the pair took to Instagram to share a series of wedding photobooth snaps. The photos showed Joe and fellow Jonas Bro, Nick, along with Sophie and others goofing about. Not only did these photos seem to confirm that something was going on, they also let the world know that Sophie had met the family! At least one member anyway…

On December 5, 2016, Joe Jonas was spotted and snapped by the British tabloid, The Daily Mail, having a pub lunch with Sophie and her family during an outing in North London. The Jonas Bros are known for doing things prim and proper and the new couple seemed comfortable displaying their blossoming affection for each other by smooching in the street.

On January 1st, 2017, Sophie Turner posted the first of what would turn out to be many photos of her future hubby. Joe Jonas poses with a cigar on a boat, as the pair cruise around Miami waters. Lover’s bliss!

On the red carpet at the Golden Globes on January 10th, 2016, Lopez straight up asked Turner if she was dating Joe Jonas. Despite sharing pics of the Jonas Bro on her social media, the actress was hesitant to address the topic and choose to remain vague. Turner stated, “I’m not saying anything… I’m very happy.”

On February 14th, 2017, Jo Bro fans spotted Joe commenting under a pic of Sophie’s with the fire emoji. We all know what that means… (He likes her.)

In March, the couple was spotted in the airport on their way to Paris Fashion Week, hand in hand.

Sophie and Joe attended the Met Gala together in May 2017 but opted out of getting snapped on the red carpet. They were photographed together later in the night as they headed for Marc Jacobs afterparty.

Joe Jonas dated AJ Michalka and Taylor Swift (which he reportedly ended with a thirty-second phone call, ouch!). Then there was Camilla Belle (not blonde), Demi Lovato (also not blonde), Ashley Greene (okay, maybe I spoke too soon), Blanda Eggenschwiler (there we go back on the blonde bandwaggon – and these two dated for two years, his longest relationship bar Turner), and finally Gigi Hadid (just before she got with Zayn Malik). That’s a lot of high profile ladies, am I right? It’s no wonder that Sophie Turner might have been a little reserved at the start of their romance.

Before meeting Joe, Turner had a relationship with The Vamps lead guitarist, James McVey. The relationship was reportedly a brief one that took place during the summer of 2014. McVey took to Twitter at the time to share a photo of the pair and to flirt with the Game of Thrones star.

Speaking to Marie Claire, Sophie confirmed that they were dating and expressed that she is happy. But Turner was still quick to defend her privacy and insisted that she is under no illusion that the relationship will last forever. When asked whether she likes the fan-made nickname for the couple, “Jophie,” she snorted and said: “She’s heard it, but she prefers ‘Mophie’ (a Thrones fan mash-up of Maisie and Sophie). ‘What’s that thing they say?’ She clicks her fingers. ‘Relationships come and go, but friendship is always there.’”

Meeting on the set of Game of Thrones, the two actresses instantly hit it off. Their friendship certainly has lasted the test of time, with Williams being chosen as Turner’s maid-of-honor, as the private wedding pictures reveal.

In her interview with Marie Clare, Turner seemed to squirm at the questions regarding the relationship and expressed that she didn’t understand the media interest. She stated, “You do feel like you’re living in a fishbowl… It’s frustrating [that] it’s the most mundane things that make the news – how boring! There are really no other headlines?”

When asked by British Newspaper, The Sunday Times, about her relationship with the Jonas Brothers, the actress was short and direct. Sophie said: “I’m in a relationship, but it’s a very private relationship.” It seems that now that the couple is married, her attitude has changed…

By September 2017, the couple adopted a cute lil husky together, sharing the news with the world on Instagram.

A few days after Sophie had uploaded the cute dog pic on Instagram, the couple were seen walking the pup around New York, seemingly confirming that the pooch was a joint purchase and a shared responsibility.

On October 15, 2017, Joe Jonas took to Instagram to announce that he had proposed to Sophie Turner and that she said yes. Aw, guys.

Everyone likes a happily ever after, especially when the couple is as cute as these two.

Some fans took to Twitter to despair that, at twenty-one, they were yet to get their lives quite as together as Sophie Turner seemed to have done at the young age. With Joe Jonas being one of that generation’s bedroom-wall heartthrobs, it seemed to some that Sophie had hit the jackpot.

Speaking to Marie Clare, again, Sophie Turner was quick to slam any illusion that she saw the engagement as an achievement. Explaining her feelings about getting engaged she stated: “There’s this weird misconception that being married is the greatest thing that’ll ever happen to you. But I’ve always found that my career is something I work for, and when I achieve something, there’s a sense that this is the greatest thing I’ll do in my life. It’s lovely to be engaged. Not like I achieved anything, but I found my person, like I’d find a house that I love and want to stay in forever. There’s a sense of peace that comes with finding your person. But there’s a drive that comes with your career.” Hell to the yeah, Sophie Turner.

Sophie Turner appeared in the Jonas Brothers’ music video alongside Nick’s bride, Prinyanka, and Kevin’s wife, Danielle. The Jonas wives are now officially part of the Jonas Bro brand.

Taking to Instagram, both Joe and Sophie shared the first of their official wedding photos. What a beautiful pair, eh! I’m sure that this is the first of many beautiful photos that we can expect from this talented duo.

You know, because that’s where her mom found her fame.

Willa is actually a Stark name because, in the series, Ned Stark tells Robert that Jon’s mum was called Wylla.

The sentiment is adorable, I have to admit.
