Joe Jonas has opened up about his wife Sophie Turner being his acting coach…
But before he reached fame in the acting business…

He was known for his pop rock band, The Jonas Brothers, which featured his brothers, Kevin, and Nick Jonas.
Jonas found quite a success with his band…

Especially because they appealed to teenage girls across the world.
In 2007, Jonas and his brothers guest-starred in an episode of Hannah Montana.

The episode was a huge success it broke records, with 10.7 million viewers, becoming basic cable’s most-watched series telecast at the time.
Their successful band and their contribution to Disney were greatly appreciated and Disney made a DCOM (Disney Channel Original Movie) with them, which was titled Camp Rock.

It was also the movie in which we were first introduced to the singer, Demi Lovato.
Jonas played the lead role in Camp Rock, and the band recorded the TV movie’s soundtrack.

In 2008, the Jonas brothers were signed to star in their own original series titled Jonas.
As for his personal life…

It has always been in the public eye, just like his professional life.
Especially after he started dating the multiple Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift in 2008.

However, their relationship didn’t last long.
According to Swift, she made it very public that Jonas broke up with her through a phone call.

Jonas denied that he only made the phone call 27-second long.
“I called to discuss feelings with the other person, and obviously these feelings were not well received.

“I did not end the phone call. Someone else ended it for me. Phone calls only last as long as the person on the other end is willing to talk,” he said.
Since their breakup, Swift wrote a song titled ‘Forever and Always’, which was reportedly based on her experience with Jonas.

Meanwhile, Jonas seemed to have moved on with his love life.
He ended up in a new relationship with actress, Camilla Belle.

She was featured in the Jonas Brothers’ music video ‘Love Bug’.
But once again, his relationship with Belle didn’t last as long and he ended up calling off it a year later.

After they broke up, Jonas quickly moved on…
He then dated Demi Lovato in 2010.

This was around the time Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam was released.
However, their relationship only lasted a couple of months.

But love wasn’t over for the star…
In 2019 Jonas got married to the love of his life, Sophie Turner.

Their wedding ceremony took place in a Las Vegas wedding chapel, where country duo Dan + Shay performed their song ‘Speechless’.
Jonas proposed to Turner in October 2017 — 2 years prior to their secret wedding ceremony.

At the time, Turner showed-off her diamond ring on her Instagram page, writing: “I said yes.”
While Jonas shared the exact photo on his page, with the caption reading: “She said yes.”

Since they tied the knot, the couple started a family.
Their first child, Willa, was born in July 2020. And at the start of the year, the pair shared that they were expecting another baby.

Discussing the news, Turner said: “It’s what life is about for me – raising the next generation.
“The greatest thing in life is seeing my daughter go from strength to strength. We’re so excited to be expanding the family. It’s the best blessing ever.”
Turner has been pretty vocal about motherhood since welcoming her first child, sharing how she’s changed due to the experience: “I used to be so rock ’n’ roll and spontaneous.

“I’m sure there’s a part of me that’s still like that, deep down. But becoming a mom, you just become way less cool. I’m like an old woman.”
Turner has also shared that she tries to keep her daughters life as normal as possible, as she knows being in the spotlight can have a negative effect on children.

She said: “I’m very protective of the life we’ve built. Every time Joe and I do a red carpet together, we make sure it’s for the right reason and makes sense for our careers.
“You never want to market yourself as a celebrity couple. It’s not that cool. And my daughter never asked for any of this.”
But outside of their personal life…

Jonas and Turner have had some pretty amazing breakthroughs…
In fact, Jonas almost landed this one major role that would’ve took his career to a whole new direction.

He was almost cast to play Spiderman in the 2012 blockbuster movie The Amazing Spiderman.
“I remember years ago I was up for Spider-Man, and I was so, so excited, and it was the year Andrew Garfield got it,” Jonas revealed on the Just for Variety podcast.

“Obviously, he was the right one,” he admitted with Garfield landing the part.
Since Garfield was cast as the web-slinger, he went on to make the 2014 sequel The Amazing Spider 2.

As for Jonas, he ended up channelling his energy in his music work.
But when the pandemic struck, Jonas used that time to brush up on his acting skills, whilst crediting his wife, Turner who landed a major role in the 2019 movie Dark Phoneix.

“When you have a wife like Sophie Turner, who is a phenomenal actress, [being] the one filming you and directing you through it, you got to bring your A-game,” Jonas said.
He also confessed that she is his biggest critic.

“She’s my toughest critic. Yes, I’m going to be a little nervous [but she’s] super helpful and I feel like what a great acting coach to walk me through this. And I do have her to thank,” Jonas said.
