John Stamos and His New Fiancee, Caitlin McHugh, Have Some Big News | 22 Words

2017 has been a banner year for John Stamos.

The Full House star got engaged to his girlfriend of two years, 31-year-old Caitlin McHugh in October when he bent the knee at Disneyland with the Magic Castle serving as a romantic backdrop for the happy occasion.

According to one of Stamos' reps, the proposal included a "film that was edited to show romantic moments from Pixar and Disney animated movies, ending with "The Little Mermaid's" Sebastian saying 'just ask the girl.'"

While Stamos is not usually forthcoming about his personal life, his fiancee is more open and has posted lovely pictures of the pair including this one of them frolicking at Disney.

Now, it seems Stamos is the one who's being forthcoming because he just announced some big, big news – he and Caitlin McHugh are having a baby!

That's right, the man once known as Uncle Jesse (who taught us that it's okay to feel overwhelmed about becoming a parent) is finally becoming a father himself.
Stamos shared the happy news with People magazine this week, and seems very excited at the prospect of becoming a father.

He says that his fiancee suggested they get pregnant before they tied the knot. "‘Maybe we should have a kid [before we get married]’"
When he asked why, his 31-year-old fiancée has a truth bomb of a response. "Because you’re old.'"

Stamos didn't take long to warm to the idea. As he explains, "We have the same morals and the same values, that all clicked nicely."

This will be Stamos' first baby and his second marriage. He was married to actress Rebecca Romijn from 1998-2005. (Remember her, the original Mystique?)

We certainly wish the best for the lucky couple, and can't wait to see their baby. We know he or she is sure to be cute!
