Shortly after going public with her girlfriend, Jojo Siwa has opened up about finally feeling happy for the first time.

And what she had to say was heartwarming...

Siwa has been dominating headlines.

And we all know why!

Since coming out as gay, Siwa has sadly received a wide array of mixed responses...

But all in all, fans are overjoyed with the teenager's transparency about her own identity and sexuality.

In February, she revealed she had a girlfriend in an anniversary post.

And now, she's opened up about feeling genuinely happy for the first time...

In the last couple of years, Siwa has risen to unprecedented levels of fame.

She now has over twelve million followers on her YouTube channel alone, with her vlogs and music videos each raking in millions of views.

But she wasn't always a YouTuber...

Siwa has an extensive list of accolades that have made her who she is today.

Her time in the spotlight began on a very popular TV show...

The show, which has since skyrocketed the likes of Maddy Ziegler to fame, introduced us to the energetic and bubbly young girl - and she certainly made an impact.

But it wasn't long before she found her second calling in life.

While she was getting her bearings with life as a social media star, Siwa found some success in the world of music.

Her most popular tracks include "Boomerang" and "Kid in a Candy Store"...

Songs that have seen her tour the globe.

And, just to give us a little hint as to how much dollar she really makes...

She even owns her own mansion.

Yep, this teenager has more money than we will ever own.

So as you can see, Siwa has a very distinctive style...

And the teen superstar is rarely without her colorful outfits and her trademark side ponytail and bow.

And not forgetting that glitter!

So. Much. Glitter.

But in the last few months, Siwa's fans have been talking about something else entirely.

As stated earlier, Siwa made a groundbreaking announcement regarding her personal life earlier this year.

The teen sensation came out.

The teenager made the brave decision to reveal her sexuality to her followers.

People have been sending in their messages of support since the announcement...

Now, Siwa first filmed herself on TikTok miming along to the lyrics of "Born This Way" by Lady Gaga:

"No matter gay, straight or bi, lesbian, transgender life, I'm on the right track baby I was born to survive."

She quickly followed up her video with this Twitter post...

Where she showed off a gift from her cousin; a t-shirt that reads, "Best Gay Cousin Ever."

Of course, with every celebrity announcement comes negativity...

And even though the teen received a few comments of negativity - and was even swatted as a publicity stunt by the media - she has taken it all in her stride and is clearly happier than ever.

Well, it turns out that Siwa is no longer single...

As she revealed to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show that she actually has a girlfriend!

Talking about a TikTok clip of her dancing to Paramore's "Ain't It Fun" with members of the Pride House, Jojo told Jimmy her thought was, "I think this TikTok is going to out me."

At the same time, she said she realized, "I don't really mind, it is true. I do have the most amazing, wonderful, perfect, most beautiful girlfriend in the whole world. It's not something I'm ashamed of, I just haven't shown the internet yet."

She said that as she slowly teased her official coming out, Siwa and her girlfriend were taking note of all the positive reactions she was getting.

But she was also aware that it was "a really big risk" coming forward. And she has received some pushback from less tolerant people, which she's handled expertly by just dismissing them as they come in.

"If I lost everything that I've created because of being myself and because of loving who I want to love, I don't want it," she told Jimmy. "That's not what I want if I can't love who I want to love; that's one of the most important things to me."

And believe it or not, it was actually her girlfriend who encouraged her to post the photo of her "best gay cousin" t-shirt on Twitter.

"My cousin had got me that shirt and I'd actually taken the picture a week before I posted it and I put it on my 'close friends' Instagram story as all my friends and family know," she explained.

"And then one day, I was on FaceTime to my girlfriend and we were just talking about it... and she was super encouraging of me to post the picture to my fans!"

Siwa also shared this adorable anniversary post on Instagram.

"After being my best friend for over a year, January 8th 2021 I got to start calling this exceptional human my Girlfriend... and Since then I've been the happiest I have ever been! She seriously is the most loving, supportive, happiest, protective, and just the most beautiful perfect person in the world. And I get to call her mine! Happy one month to my girl! I love you more and more everyday!"

She recently spoke out about falling in love...

In a Valentine's Day Instagram post to her girlfriend, Jojo revealed that she has "fallen in love."

The post, which included an adorable picture of Kylie giving her a piggyback ride, reads, "It's my first valentines dayyyy!!"

"No one in the world makes me as happy as this girl does. I'm so thankful to have fallen in love with the most perfect person ever who makes me smile 24/7. I love you more than you'll ever know!"

Siwa and Prew met on a cruise ship. "I told her my whole spiel that I tell everyone when they ask me my life story," Siwa remembers.

"She goes, 'I could have Googled that. I want to know your life story. You just told me about your career. I want to know about you.' And I was like, No one's ever asked me that before."

"I never wanted [my coming out] to be a big deal," she adds. But it was, and she never could have guessed what was to follow...

"I've known since I was little," Siwa says. "I did too," her mom Jessalynn adds. "A mother knows."

They both also knew it was a risk to go public: "I have a lot that could have gone away because of my love life," Siwa says.

After coming out, she Googled herself and read comment after comment...

"I never should have done that. I was thinking that all the comments were going to be nice and supportive, and they weren't," she says. "A lot of them were, 'I'm never buying your merch again. My daughter's never watching you again.' I couldn't sleep for three days."

But Siwa finally realized: "My thing is, I don't want people to watch my videos or buy my merchandise if they aren't going to support not only me but the LGBTQ community."

New famous fans such as Elton John, Meghan Trainor, Kerry Washington, and more applauded her. "I've never gotten this much support from the world," she says. "I think this is the first time that I've felt so personally happy."

"Performing has always made me super happy," she adds.

"But for the first time, personally, I am like, whoa, happiness. I am so proud to be me."
