'Karen' Freaks Out After Someone Plays Cardi B's 'WAP' in the Family Car | 22 Words

Footage has gone viral today that shows a woman - who has now been dubbed a "Karen," of course - freaking out over Cardi B's hit track, "WAP" being played in the family car.

I can't say I really blame her...

Because, as you may be aware, "WAP" isn't exactly the family-friendly track of the decade.

Standing for "Wet Ass P***y," Cardi B and Meghan Thee Stallion's hit collaboration has been taking the world by storm ever since its release in August this year.

The song is riddled with sexual connotations and innuendos from start to finish.

At the start of the track, Cardi raps: "Yeah, you f*****g with some wet-ass p***y - bring a bucket and a mop for this wet-ass p***y - give me everything you got for this wet-ass p***y."

And that was just a warm-up.

The rest of the song weighs in on some pretty explicit sexual activity, which I'm not going to write about here - for obvious reasons.

And just when we thought "WAP" couldn't get anymore raunchy...

The music video was released, and it blew us all away.

A whole host of erotic female dancers feature in the video...

Because Cardi "wanted different types of bad b****es in my video. Black, white, Latin, mix."

And we can't forget Kylie Jenner's somewhat bizarre appearance, can we?

One segment of the video shows the reality star walking seductively through the house in a revealing leopard print bodysuit - this then resulted in a petition being launched to get her removed from the video.

However, that doesn't mean the song hasn't experienced success.

In the days following its release, Cardi excitedly took to Instagram to share that the song had reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and had the most streams in the first opening week in music history.

The music video has now had over three-hundred million views on YouTube...

And the powerhouse collaboration alone has amassed more than thirty-nine million streams.

Many regard "WAP" as one of the most iconic feminist anthems of all time...

With women from all over the world claiming to feel "empowered" by its raunchy and explicit lyrics.

However, on the other hand...

Some people aren't too impressed with the track, slamming it as "inappropriate" and "damaging to feminism."

It's a divisive topic, to say the least...

But one thing that everyone can agree on is that "WAP" is not appropriate for family listening.

Many have expressed their concern surrounding the effect this song will have upon young and vulnerable ears...

And most parents have made the effort to ensure their children won't hear the lyrics until they're significantly older. Fair enough, right?

Well, one woman was recently filmed as her daughter played the track in the car...

The mom could be seen in a state of total horror as her full family bopped along to the track and recited it word-by-word. And, after the video was posted onto TikTok, her reaction was completely ridiculed, and even resulted in her being labeled a "Karen."

People found the mom's frantic reaction to be very amusing...

TikTok user, Hannah Nalley, filmed her mom's face as "WAP" blasted out through the car's speakers...

And, at first, she seems confused, if not a little intrigued.

But then, as the lyrics get into full swing...

Her jaw drops and she looks at her daughter in disbelief.

Hilariously, the rest of the family sing and bop along...

All while their mom watches on in despair, asking at one point: "You know this song?!"
