Kate Hudson Calls Her C-Section ‘The Laziest Thing She Ever Did’ and Moms Are Furious

When a new mom tells you that she gave birth via C-section, the first things that usually come to mind are a longer recovery time, a surgical scar, and of course, a beautiful new baby. But do you also associate them with…laziness?

Apparently, if you’re Kate Hudson, you do. After describing her C-section as “the laziest thing [she’s] ever done” in a Cosmopolitan interview, moms from across the web clapped back.

Because, seriously, what?

Ryder, her son with ex Chris Robinson, is 13 and Bingham, her son with ex Matt Bellamy, is 6.

And we have to admit, they’re an insanely adorable modern family.

But it was the answer to the question “What’s the laziest thing you’ve ever done?” that’s gotten people talking. What did she say it was? Her C-section. Yes, that’s right.

Needless to say, mothers from across the globe have been voicing their complete opposite opinion to the bizarre answer.

It’s not just an incorrect statement, but a slap in the face to mothers everywhere. So, how did the mothers online respond?

Since when is necessary surgery “lazy”? Would you consider wisdom tooth surgery lazy too, Kate?

She is having NONE of Kate’s “lazy” talk.

…but “lazy” would probably be the last on that list.

According to a SELF Magazine article about a woman’s viral Facebook post about her C-section experience, she described her child’s birth as “the most painful thing I have experienced in my life…. Having a shrieking infant pulled out of an incision that is only five inches long, but is cut and shredded and pulled until it rips apart through all of your layers of fat, muscle, and organs (which they lay on the table next to your body, in order to continue to cut until they reach your child) is a completely different experience than I had imagined my son’s birth to be,” said Raye Lee via Facebook.

“You use your core muscles for literally everything…even sitting down. Imagine not being able to use them because they have literally been shredded and mangled by a doctor and not being able to repair them for six-plus weeks because your body has to do it naturally,” added Lee. But, that’s not all…

It’s understandable why some would take this personally, especially since C-sections still tend to be (very wrongly) looked down upon by other moms as “the easy way out.”

Granted, it could have been a tongue-in-cheek send up of shallow and often times very silly magazine-style quiz questions, but even so, it felt pretty tone deaf.
