Now, Chris Pratt is one of the biggest stars in Hollywood right now.
He was born in Minnesota in 1979, and after dropping out of community college in 1998 ended up homeless in Maui, Hawaii for a spell as a teenager.
He was discovered while waiting tables at a shrimp restaurant.
His is a true rags-to-riches story, and he is now a household name with tons of critically acclaimed acting credits. Here he is pictured at Comic Con in 2018.
He’s well known for his role in the Lego Movies.
In these films, he played Emmet Brickowski. The original Lego Movie was the third highest-grossing movie of 2014.
Perhaps his biggest role, though, is in Guardians of the Galaxy.
In the movie, Pratt plays Peter Quill, who is also known as Star-Lord. This role is what catapulted him to super-stardom.
He has many other popular acting credits.
Another hugely popular film Pratt starred in is Jurassic World. In it, he plays velociraptor trainer and movie hero, Owen Grady.
Although for long-term fans, Pratt is most famous for another role.
He rose to fame on NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation as Andy Dwyer. The hapless but lovable idiot became a fan favorite, and Pratt won a Critic’s Choice Television Award for the role.
Pratt is famous for more than his acting, though.
One of the things which cemented his fame was his relationship with fellow actor, Anna Faris.
The pair met while filming Take Me Home Tonight.
They played love interests in the 2007 film, and sparks clearly flew, as they become engaged in 2008, and married in Bali, Indonesia in July 2009.
Faris and Pratt have a son together.
Jack was born in August 2012, nine weeks premature. Though he suffered some difficulties at birth, he’s now doing great, and is pictured here with his parents in 2017. They’re celebrating the unveiling of Pratt’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The star has been involved with Katherine Schwarzenegger since 2018, just a year after splitting from Faris.
Talking to Extra in 2019, Pratt said that the couple met in “church.”
And telling Entertainment Tonight, he expressed how “lucky” he feels to have met her, as well. “Aw, man, I’m lucky,” he said, as per Us Weekly.
Then on January 13, 2019, Pratt announced the couple’s engagement.
He shared the news on Instagram, saying “I’m thrilled to be marrying you!” The picture shows the couple cuddling up and Schwarzenegger showing off her giant ring.
The couple only went public with their relationship a month prior.
Pratt shared a collage of pictures of his new love for her birthday, with a message of appreciation for their relationship.
Eagle-eyed fans had suspected the couple was together for a while.
A relative of Pratt shared an image of the pair in September. We’re guessing things were already pretty serious if Schwarzenegger was meeting the family.

The couple’s engagement became a big story.
Their whirlwind romance (plus their initial secrecy about the pairing) captured the interests of fans and media outlets alike.
The internet had some mixed feelings about the situation.
The fact that the new engagement followed the split of one of the internet’s favorite couples was bound to make things a little tricky.
The pair officially tied the knot in June 8, 2019 at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California.
Then just a year later they announced they were expecting their first child, Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger.
And now, 2 years on, the pair are parents to 2 daughters.
Taking to his Instagram, Pratt shared the birth date of their second child, along with her name.
“Eloise Christina Schwarzenegger Pratt,” the photo read. Along with “May 21, 2022.”
“We are so excited to announce the birth of our second daughter, Eloise Christina Schwarzenegger Pratt. Mama and baby are doing well. We feel beyond blessed and grateful. Love, Katherine, and Chris,” Pratt wrote in the caption.
Katherine also took to her Instagram to share the news with the same photograph and a similar caption.
“We are so excited to announce the birth of our second daughter, Eloise Christina Schwarzenegger Pratt. We feel beyond blessed and grateful.
Love, Katherine, and Chris,” she said.
Since welcoming their second child, Pratt has been vocal about his love for Schwarzenegger…
Earlier this year, he spoke out about his wife and how proud he is of her “amazing maternal instincts” with their new baby girl.
He spoke out about Schwarzenegger at the Los Angeles premiere of Jurrasic World Dominion…
“Katherine just has the most amazing maternal instincts,” Pratt told E!. “She just really knows what to do. I’ll follow her lead.”
The actor also shared he is now on diaper duties at home, saying: “Luckily, they smell worse than dino droppings, but they’re much smaller.
“They are more manageable,” he joked.
Pratt also spoke with Entertainment Tonight at the premiere, and said that switching from dad to movie star is like “going from zero to 60 in no seconds.”
“At home, it’s really kind of zero, which I love. I’ve shifted into a gear that feels so nice. I’m at home with mama and babies, and it’s just fantastic man, I love it,” he added.
Schwarzenegger has also been vocal about being a new mom on social media and recently opened up about breastfeeding her daughter Eloise, who she claims has had a “6 Month Growth Spurt.”
She celebrated the occasion by posting a sweet pic on Instagram of her and her tot.
“Someone’s having a 6-month growth spurt (which means this breastfeeding mama needs a jug of water and my @itsbodily back at it bra at all times),” she captioned the post.
