Katy Perry’s recent appearance on the red carpet in a jaw-dropping outfit for the Country Music Association Awards left fans in total shock.
Perry is known for her daring style choices, but some think this was way too much.
“Can I get someone to explain to me what kind of dress Katy Perry was wearing on the CMA’s just now? The head hole was on her stomach and it looked like she had squeezed her top part into an armhole. I’m confused,” one fan wrote.
Another wrote: “Katy Perry on CMA’s… unexpected but she killled it! That dress not so much!”

But it’s not her relationship that fans have been discussing recently…
Instead, fans were obsessing over a bizarre clip where Perry seemed to be malfunctioning!
The TikTok shows Perry on stage in her iconic soda can costume, but something is evidently wrong with the star’s face.
She appears to be pausing for breath after finishing a song, but fans also spotted that the star seemed unable to keep her right eye open.
She could be seen tapping her temples in an attempt to keep her eye open but failed multiple times.
Eventually, Perry managed to keep both eyes open and continue on with the show.
The moment struck fans as an incredibly strange incident.
So, naturally, it went viral!
Fans were theorizing about what could have possibly been wrong with the star…
One came up with a rather rational response: “It’s her eyelash glue getting stuck to her bottom lid happens to me all the time.”
Another agreed it was down to her makeup, writing: “Katy has false lashes on in this. It’s likely there’s something in her eye, or bothering her eye, but she can’t rub them because it will ruin her make up.”
However, others were bolder with their guesses, with one person saying: “Her clone was glitching. That’s scary.”
A fourth seemed to blame her eye malfunction on getting the Covid-19 vaccine: “She got that Pfizer eye.”
While another suggested that it wasn’t even Katy on stage, but her replica: “That looks like a glitch in programming.”

Well, Perry heard the conspiracy theories being thrown around, and the singer went on to address the bizarre on-stage glitch…
The star took to Instagram to poke fun at all the wild comments.
Sharing a video of her performance, she captioned the post: “Welcoming all my #flatearthers #spaceisfakers #birdsarentrealers #skyisntbluers to come see my broken doll eye party trick IRL in Vegas next year!”
“The show’s set list is a fun [ride] through memory lane going all the way back to 2008, a time when we weren’t all frozen by the paranoia of our own echo chambers!
“This show is a nonstop party about finding unconditional love and strangely (for me) not political at all, heck I pour beer out of my t*ts (that’s a party trick too… I don’t actually lactate hops silly goose!).
“Hope to sing along with you in 2023! And we’ll drink, this one’s on me, ’cause we’re all.”

And recently she shocked fans once again, this time for her outfit.
Perry turned up at the CMA’s in a revealing denim gown.
Some couldn’t believe what she was wearing, with one writing: “Can someone explain Katy Perry’s Dress? Is she supposed to have a face coming out the side??”
While another questioned: “What were you just wearing? Jolly Green Giant’s denim shirt made into a tablecloth dress? Whew! What a mess!”
“Katy Perry’s dress looked ridiculous,” a third wrote.
It’s clear her dress has caused quite a stir.
