She and Orlando Bloom share a little girl called Daisy.

Over time, Perry has opened up about the realities of being a mom…

But her recent admission left some people on the internet feeling rather confused!

“Well she’s hardly going to be mistaken for me, is she? Ridiculous, she should be happy anyone recognizes her, I wouldn’t know her if I fell over her,” joked one person.

  via Getty Images

“All these celebrities are malfunctioning and we have to deal with their dramas all the time,” added another.

Because Perry has claimed she’s always being mistaken for… Katy Perry!

“We do a lot of mommy-and-me classes,” she told The Cut.

“This morning, I was with her at a ballet class, and this woman goes, ‘Oh my god, you look so much like Katy Perry.’

  via Getty Images

“And I was like, ‘Hi, nice to meet you. I care about my kid and take her to classes,'” Perry joked.

“And do these moms ever realize what’s happening?

  via Getty Images

‘”People do recognize me, but by the time they’re like, ‘Is that …? Was that …?’ I’m already gone,” she said.

The pair have also opened up to Ellen about who their daughter, Daisy Dove, actually looks like.

DeGeneres mentioned that Katy had sent her a photo of Daisy and thought they looked alike—especially in the eyes.

“It was funny because when she first came out, I was like, ‘Oh, it’s me! It’s a mini-me’. And then, fortunately, she got those Katy blues, which was perfect.

“But then she sort of looks like my mom,” Bloom said.

“So then I got a little confused because Katy’s breastfeeding this mini-me slash my mom…who’s she gonna look like next?” he added.

Perry also opened up about Christmas with a toddler.

“She’s just coming alive,” Perry told Access Hollywood at the 2022 American Music Awards.

“This is her third Christmas and she’s super into it.

“I need to order my Elf on the Shelf now,” she said.

“I can’t do 25 days on my first Elf on the Shelf guys, you know what I’m talking about,” Perry joked.

“It’s a journey, I’ll do 15 days, maybe 10.”

And Perry has also opened up about a recent move.

She and Orlando Bloom recently went cross country from Hollywood to Kentucky!

She opened up Chelsea Handler’s Dear Chelsea podcast.

She told Handler: “I’m living, like, in Kentucky and I have for almost a month now and that’s quite an amazing experience.

“Because it reminds you that Hollywood is not America.

“And you need to remember that because you can then understand people better.”

It seemed Handler agreed with Perry’s thesis.

Saying it’s “nice to go outside of what you know to be normal and your reality.”

Perry then said her family’s “bubble” in Kentucky is “completely opposite” of Hollywood.

Handler then drew an interesting comparison.

“You’ve been in different bubbles, because you grew up in a bubble,” the podcast host pointed out.

  via Getty Images

“You grew up super religious and that’s one bubble. Then you came into this industry, that’s another bubble. Right?”

Perry agreed and said: “It’s an anthropology study of humans.”

But recently, Perry has hit headlines for a rather less positive reason.

Viewers of American Idol accused Perry of bullying a contestant!

  via Getty Images

One viewer wrote: “I really do not like how Katy Perry just treated Sara Beth on #AmericanIdol I don’t watch this show at all and my tv was already on the channel but what I witnessed was not right. They let Katy Perry bully this woman on live national tv before she even started singing. So ugly.”

Another wrote:: “Boo to Katy Perry for mom shaming Sara Beth. Insinuating that she has been “laying on the table too much” to have 3 kids by age 25. A young mother following a dream while raising her children should be raised up not put down. #AmericanIdol.”

  via Getty Images

Perry was slammed for telling the 25-year-old mom Sara Beth: “That’s not enough.”

“Show us what your voice can do. Take it to the limit. No looking back. Sing it like it’s your new dream,” she continued.

  via Getty Images

She also compared her to “a comic strip character just came to life.”

Sara Beth took to TikTok to call out the center judge out for the “hurtful” remark, saying: “Katy Perry made a joke that wasn’t super-kind. … It was embarrassing to have that on TV. … I think that mom-shaming is super-lame.”

  via Getty Images

Soon after, Sara Beth quit the show!

However, she has claimed Perry’s jokes had nothing to do with it.

  via Getty Images

“This opportunity is really rad, but this is actually going to be my last performance, because my heart’s at home. So, I’m going get home to my babies. They kind of need me,” she said, according to Yahoo.

Perry also tried to convince Sara Beth to stay in the competition.

  via Getty Images

“I know that life is scary. I also know that it’s easier to walk away than to be rejected. But, then, I also know that you lose out on your fullest potential,” Perry told her. “And I know that you love your family, for your kids. I know that as a mother, but remember self-love is just as big as motherly love. Don’t leave the competition.”

Sara Beth has also spoken out on TikTok.

  via Getty Images

She explains her “heart is grateful” following the situation, adding: “Sometimes we are presented with big opportunities and situations and we have to make big decisions.”

“They reached out to me. And I’m so GRATEFUL,” she wrote, “I’ve never had this support with singing.”

  via gettyimages

“I’m also allowed to make hard choices that are best for me. I took a chance on something big and said yes to a huge and VERY UNEXPECTED opportunity that was presented to me.”

A source then claimed Perry is ready to quit the show entirely.

  via Getty Images

“Katy feels like [the producers] threw her under the bus,” a source told the Daily Mail.

“She feels like her comments could have been removed.”

  via Getty Images

“Katy became aware of the harsh criticism. Getting booed really upset her. She was trying to stay in her lane, do her job and go home.”

“She went into it thinking she was going to foster young talent. For her good intentions to be misinterpreted it was not what she wanted.”

  via Getty Images

“She has accomplished so much in her career and is now being looked at as a nasty reality show judge.”

“Katy’s wanted out for some time now, but this season was way too much for her to handle.”

  via Getty Images

But now, there’s a much more serious controversy affecting Perry’s life.

As her ex-husband Russell Brand has been at the center of serious s*xual assault allegations this weekend.

  via Getty Images

And now, some old comments of Perry’s have taken on new significance in light of these accusations.

“I felt a lot of responsibility for it ending, but then I found out the real truth,” she said in a 2013 interview.

  via Getty

“I keep it locked in my safe for a rainy day.”

“At first, when I met him, he wanted an equal, and I think a lot of times strong men do want an equal, but then they get that equal and they’re like, ‘I can’t handle the equalness.'” she added.

  via Getty Images

And now, Perry’s disturbing nickname for her ex has been revealed.

Piers Morgan wrote in his column for the Sun that Perry referred to Brand as “Rasputin.”

  via Getty Images

Reminding readers that Rasputin was “the fiercely intelligent but sex-crazed, manipulative, controlling and sinister bearded Russian monk who helped topple Tsar Nicholas II in the 1917 Russian Revolution.”

Even more worryingly, Brand apparently loved the nickname.

  via Getty Images

Morgan claims: “Brand was thrilled when I told him what Katy had said, exclaiming: ‘GRIGORI RASPUTIN!’ He was a pretty powerful bloke, he could manipulate folks with his eyes. I like Rasputin… he was all right, wasn’t he… a mad monk with magical, mystical powers, having it off with everyone, drinking and getting into fights.’”

What do you think?
