We’ve had many actors play the Bat since then. Michael Keaton in 1989, and then again in 1992 for Batman Returns. Then there was Val Kilmer for a one-off movie. Even Hollywood icon George Clooney suited up for 1997’s Batman and Robin.

But 2 of the most famous actors to play Batman has to be Christian Bale in Christopher Nolan’s trilogy, as well as Ben Affleck.

Then there’s the newest Batman, Robert Pattinson, which saw him don the suit alongside Zoë Kravitz.

The Batman was released back in March, and understandably gained critical acclaim, DC even confirmed a sequel is on the cards, with Pattinson taking the lead once again.

But one Hollywood icon has admitted he’d love to play Batman, and that’s Keanu Reeves. Reeves opened up about his love for the character in a recent interview with Extra.

He said: “I love Batman as a character, and I love him in the comic books, in the films, so to get the opportunity to voice, to play Batman, was awesome.”

Despite admitting he’d love to play the DC superhero, he had some reservations: “It’s always been a dream, but Pattinson’s got Batman right now. He’s doing awesome.”

However, he didn’t rule it out altogether, explaining: “Maybe down the road. Maybe when they need an older Batman.”
