It seems as though there was another star amid the crowd when Taylor Swift took to the stage at NYU, and that was Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos’ son.
During the graduation ceremony that took place this week, twenty-four-year-old Michael, who is the son of Riverdale actor and All My Children actress took to the stage.
He went on to accept his diploma from NYU, and it seems his family couldn’t be more proud of him.
Both Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos posted to their Instagram stories to share the exciting moment with their fans.
In the photo, Michael was pictured alongside his doting parents and younger siblings, Lola, and Joaquin, who both came to show their support for their older brother.
Michael graduated back in 2020, but due to the pandemic, he hasn’t been able to officially graduate until now, so was definitely a day to celebrate.
As we know, Taylor Swift was also in attendance at the ceremony, where she gave a speech to all the new graduates, and even received an honorary diploma from the university.
Before taking to the stage, Michael posted a photo in his graduation cap and gown, captioning the pic: “My head was not built for these stupid hats.”
It seems as though Michael and his parents have a very close bond, as just last August, he spoke with ET sharing how much his parents have influenced him as a person and that he looks up to them.
“One hundred percent they’re relationship goals, and it’s weird because I’ve been with them the longest,” he said. “Not a year after they were married, about a year, then I came into the picture. So we kind of grew up together, at least that’s how I see it.”
Michael added, “They’re great, not just in like a relationship sense, but they’re great role models. I try to conduct myself the way I think they would.”
