Bethenny Frankel has fans split after she posted a controversial video poking fun at Kim Kardashian.
At this point, it’s no secret that Bethenny Frankel isn’t a huge fan of Kim Kardashian.
The Real Housewives alum has taken shots at the reality star, publicly, multiple times in the past, criticizing different parts of her persona.
Earlier this year, Kim made an appearance on Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop podcast.
“@kimkardashian is fascinating to the world, we know this,” Paltrow wrote in her Instagram caption when posting about the episode. “For me she is fascinating because she challenges so many ideas of what a woman is supposed to be, and how she is supposed to look and behave while doing it.”
Bethenny took to the comments section to show her apparent disapproval, simply commenting: “I mean LOL.”
In 2022, Frankel spoke out against Kim more directly, criticizing her harmful weight loss comments at the Met Gala.
According to Reality Blurb, Kim explained in an interview that she “had to lose 16 pounds in three weeks” to fit into the Met Gala dress, adding, “I haven’t had carbs or sugar in about three weeks.”
After hearing this, the Real Housewives star took to her Instagram to express her thoughts with a video, bashing Kardashian.
It’s time we started accepting reality and who we really are and what we really look like,” she said about unrealistic beauty standards. “It’s our responsibility to set a good example for young women & men.”
Now, Bethenny is speaking out against Kim once again, but this time, for a much sillier reason.
Leading up to the holiday, Frankel trolled the SKIMS founder over her extravagant snow-covered Christmas decorations.
The reality star filmed a wintery scene behind her as she vacationed in Aspen, Colorado for the holidays, sharing the video to her Instagram account on Sunday.
In her video, she poked fun at how similar it looked to the decorations in Kim’s Los Angeles home.
“Want to see Kim Kardashian’s living room? I’m here right now,” Frankel joked in the video.
“She did a good job with the decorations, don’t you think?” Bethenny jokingly asked in the video.
She continued: “God, I’m so glad she invited me.”
Later on in the clip, she pretended to compliment the Skims founder on her impressive decoration skills.
“This looks really good Kim,” Frankel said. “Honestly, it’s some of your best work. Happy holidays!”
She captioned the video, “No one does holiday decorations like the Kardashians… Happy Holidays!”
Bethenny’s video comes after Kim showed off her Christmas decor, which features snow-covered trees lining the inside of her home.
While most of us can agree that her decor is extravagant, a lot of folks in Frankel’s comments thought the trolling video went a little too far.
“Are you sour she didn’t invite you or are you being sarcastic?” one person asked.
Another fan added: “Leave people to have the Christmas decorations that they want…you do you,”
“Can’t stand Kim. Can’t stand you either,” one person commented. “Thirsty AF.”
In response to all of the comments disagreeing with Bethenny’s trolling, she left a comment on her own post doubling down.
“What’s funny is it’s not shade. It’s just humor,” Frankel insisted.
Unfortunately, due to Bethenny’s history of calling out Kim, a lot of fans still see it as shade.
It looks like Frankel won’t be getting an invite to next year’s Kardashian Christmas party, either.
