Whether you love them, hate them, or like to comment “who cares” on Facebook posts about them, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are some of the biggest and most influential celebrities of our time.

Kim rose to fame in the mid-2000s as the best friend and assistant of Paris Hilton and became a household name after starring in an adult video with Brandy’s brother Ray J.

Kanye has been a successful rapper and music producer for the last 2 decades, though recently he has added Political Pot-Stirrer to his resume as well.

Kim and Kanye already have 3 beautiful children.

North, age 5, Saint, age 3, and Chicago, 11-months. While Kim carried North and Saint herself, baby Chicago was born via gestational surrogate. According to Self Magazine, Kim suffered from preeclampsia (which causes high blood pressure and organ damage) and placenta accreta during her first two pregnancies. The Mayo Clinic explains, “Placenta accreta is a serious pregnancy condition that occurs when the placenta grows too deeply into the uterine wall.”

Because of this, Kim couldn’t carry any more children herself and turned to a gestational surrogate to help bring her 3rd and now 4th children into the world.

Us Weekly previously reported that Kim and Kanye had one male embryo left after their first procedure. Now, that embryo has been implanted in their gestational surrogate and their baby is due in May.

Kim has always been vocal about wanting a big family.

As most who follow popular culture know, Kim is one of 6 kids. From her biological parents, Kris Jenner and Robert Kardashian, she has sisters Kourtney, Khloe and brother Rob, and then later from her mother’s second marriage to Caitlyn Jenner (formerly known as Bruce), sisters Kendall and Kylie.

To Kim, family is everything.

She and her parents and siblings often bicker and argue on their show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, but underneath it all, they love each other deeply.

We wish Kim and Kanye health, happiness and lots of sleep in 2019!
