Kim Kardashian has admitted, 8 years after their divorce, that she owes a huge apology to ex-husband Kris Humphries.

The businesswoman and aspiring lawyer opened up about the past relationship during the recent Keeping Up With The Kardashians reunion.

During the highly anticipated reunion, Kim revealed that she attempted many times to apologize to Kris for the way she handled their seventy-two-day marriage and subsequent years-long divorce.
“I tried to” she admitted, “I tried calling him for months.”

The fashion mogul explained how she once ran into her ex-husband at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

At the time she was pregnant with her son Saint and had her first child, North, with her. Apparently, things didn’t pan out as well as she initially hoped.
“I saw him and all of his friends got up from the table, we had the tables next to each other,” she said, “All of his friends got up and said hi to me and he literally just looked at me and like, wouldn’t even speak to me.”

She admitted in the episode how badly she had handled the whole breakup.

“I was so nervous to break up with someone. I handled it totally the wrong way. I fully broke up with him in the worst way and I couldn’t — I just didn’t know how to deal. I learned so much from it.”
Kim also explained how the basketball player is “faith-based” and wanted an annulment so it wouldn’t be “on his record” which is why he claimed fraud in his filing – not because she conned him into marrying her.
“If I was mature, I would have wanted the annulment too,” she said, “I wish I was only married once.”

Kim and Kris started dating in October 2010, and got engaged the following May.

They tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in August 2011.
At the time, there was a media blitz surrounding the marriage, with a 2-part special showing the preparations and wedding itself on E!. Kim filed for divorce after only seventy-two days, with many media corporations speculating whether the entire marriage was a publicity stunt.
They finally reached a divorce settlement in April 2013.

Sisters Kourtney and Khloé and mother Kris Jenner all agreed that they didn’t think the marriage was going to last.

Mom Kris even confessed she told Kim she could get out of the wedding the night before it happened.
“I thought, ‘OK, everyone, you know, we’re filming this for a TV show. If I leave, I’m going to be known as the runaway bride forever and it’s going to be a huge joke,'” Kim confessed, chalking her nerves up to cold feet.
Kim even admitted that she didn’t save any money, as the money they pocketed from production for filming the wedding was spent on covering the difference in cost of what production was paying for the nuptials. “I would have saved my money,” she joked.

Kim is currently going through a divorce from the infamous rapper Kanye West.

The couple has been married since 2014 and shares 4 children together – North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm – and it marks Kim’s 3rd marriage.
Her first marriage was with music producer Damon Thomas with whom she eloped when she was just nineteen years old. Damon filed for divorce in 2003 with Kim later blaming their separation on physical and emotional abuse on his part.
