In an emotional new KUWTK clip, aspiring lawyer Kim Kardashian revealed she had not passed the baby bar.

Fans are now questioning what this may mean for her future law career…

Fans were pretty surprised when it was revealed Kim Kardashian was taking her career in a new direction.

After over a decade of working as a reality star, influencer, and businesswoman, Kim had set her sights on the legal world.

But now it seems as though her burgeoning career has been dealt a huge blow.

And many are speculating what this may mean for her future plans.

In 2019, Kim revealed that she would be following the footsteps of her late father, OJ Simpson’s defense attorney, Robert Kardashian, by studying to become a criminal justice lawyer.

She initially started a 4-year apprenticeship with a San Francisco law firm in 2018, around the time she played a role in the release of Alice Marie Johnson, the sixty-three-year-old Alabama native who had been in prison on a non-violent drug charge since 1996.

Kim had emplored to the then-president, Donald Trump, for Alice’s release.

The president eventually granted Alice clemency.

Discussing her decision to venture into a law career, she told US Vogue:

“I had to think long and hard about this. The White House called me to advise to help change the system of clemency and I’m sitting in the Roosevelt Room with, like, a judge who had sentenced criminals and a lot of really powerful people and I just sat there, like, ‘Oh, s**t. I need to know more.'”

“I just felt like the system could be so different, and I wanted to fight to fix it, and if I knew more, I could do more.”

She also admitted to taking a keen interest in her dad’s work as a child, saying:
“My dad had a library, and when you pushed on this wall there was this whole hidden closet room, with all of his OJ evidence books. On weekends I would always snoop and look through. I was really nosy about the forensics.”

Kim began studying eighteen hours per week under the guidance of Jessica Jackson, Van Jones, and Erin Haney.

She didn’t have to actually attend law school in person, as “California is one of a handful of states that allows people to take the bar without a college or law school degree,” as per Above the Law.

But Kim did admit she was finding the work “time-consuming.”

“First year of law school, you have to cover 3 subjects: criminal law, torts, and contracts. To me, torts is the most confusing, contracts the most boring, and crim law I can do in my sleep… Took my first test, I got a 100. Super easy for me.

“The reading is what really gets me. It’s so time-consuming. The concepts I grasp in 2 seconds.”

Though she isn’t set to take the bar exam until 2022…

She recently took what’s called the baby bar.

“If you are doing law school the way I’m doing it, it is a four-year program instead of your typical three-year program,” Kim explained.

“And after year one, you have to take the baby bar.”

“This would actually be harder, I hear, than the official bar.”

Kim’s mentor, attorney Jessica Jackson, explained the star needed a score of 560 to pass the baby bar.

So, how did she do?

Well, unfortunately, not well.

In a sneak peek of Thursday’s episode of KUWTK, Kim made a sad announcement.

“So you guys, I did not pass the baby bar,” Kim confided to her sisters.

Her test score?

She got 474 – a full 86 points short of the passing grade needed.

But apparently, all is not lost.

“That is extremely close on a test that most people are not taking in the middle of a pandemic,” Jackson comforts Kim.

Many are concerned this could be the end for Kim’s dreams of working in the legal field.

“I am a failure,” she can be heard saying after telling her sisters.

“I spent 6 weeks straight, ten to twelve hours a day, studying and it was so important for me to take this.”

“And to not pass gets your spirit down and just makes you want to give up.”

Although her sisters were quick to come to her defense.

“I feel like dad would be really proud of you regardless, just the fact that you’re pursuing this,” Kourtney says.

“I think it’s highly respectable what you’re doing,” Khloe agrees.

“I think the time that you get taken away from your family, your kids…”

But for Kim, this is a part of the problem.

“That’s what p*****s me off,” Kim explains.

“The fact that I spent all that time away from my kids, like I can’t do it again. I don’t have time.”

“To do the next test is in November. And I’m filming the ending of our show, which will be so emotional. I have every birthday under the sun, you know, it’s my birthday—my 40th—I planned this whole trip and it’s too late to cancel. And if I fail again, it’s like, what’s the point?”

“I don’t want to wait another year to go by for school. I feel like I just got to the end where I almost knew everything.”

Her sisters ask if she wants to continue her studies.
“I don’t know, I really need to think about it,” she replies sadly.

So, will Kim give up?

We guess we’ll have to watch tomorrow’s KUWTK episode to see.
