How This Kim Kardashian Outfit Led To a Homophobic Fight

Kim Kardashian is known for many things, and being homophobic is certainly not one of them…

However, fans are convinced that the reality star uttered an incriminating slur this week…

And, subsequently, she has been slammed as homophobic.

It’s been a real mess…

And the star has since spoken out to defend her actions.

But the most bizarre part of this whole story?

Well, it was all over a rather daring outfit.

Now, we all know the Kardashians are an unstoppable media force.

They’ve all starred in one of the most successful reality shows of all time and each of the sisters has a massive influence on social media.

The Kardashian-Jenners are more than just influencers, though.

They’re truly impressive entrepreneurs and businesswomen. Whatever you think about them, you can’t deny that they’ve done well for themselves.

Though it’s certainly no secret that the siblings have stirred up their fair share of controversy over the years.

The Kardashian-Jenners are never far from the headlines.

Take the repeated accusations of cultural appropriation, for example.

Yep, fans are continually calling out the sisters for donning culturally appropriating hairstyles such as cornrows.

Or what about the photoshopping errors fans always spot?

The famous family is often very open about the plastic surgery they’ve had done, but something that fans often point out is their excessive use of photoshop.

And who can forget?

In 2017, the world watched, appalled, as Kendall Jenner brought a social justice protest to an end with one simple act – handing the police officer a can of Pepsi in a very controversial ad.
As problematic goes, this was definitely up there (and of course, the ad was promptly pulled following the backlash).

But there’s one sister who seems to land herself in hot water more than the others…

The second eldest of the clan and arguably the one who started it all, Kim Kardashian.

In recent years, Kim appears to have ventured off from her reality TV beginnings.

Similarly to her younger sister, Kylie Jenner, the star now runs her highly successful beauty empire, KKW Beauty, and has established herself as a successful entrepreneur.

She is also a big player in the fashion scene.

The reality star has certainly not fallen short of head-turning fashion moments over the years.

She also began a 4-year apprenticeship with a law firm in San Francisco in 2019.

Reports say that she will be taking the state’s exams in 2022 in order to qualify.
So, it’s technically not law school, but California is one of the only states in which you can still take the bar exam and train to become a lawyer without a college or law school degree.

It’s a huge commitment…

But just goes to show that she’s hugely passionate about her future law career.

However, as predicted, the internet didn’t know what to make of her announcement…

The general consensus was that she should “stay in her lane” and that anything that veers outside the beauty and fashion-related spectacle she has created from her reality TV fame, is totally unacceptable for her to pursue.

But these people could do well with remembering the time Kim pulled off an impressive legal accomplishment n 2018.

She used her celebrity status for good and managed to successfully convinced Donald Trump to commute the prison sentence of Alice Marie Johnson, a grandmother serving life in prison without parole for a non-violent drug crime, VOX reports.

And she didn’t stop there.

The star quietly helped fund the “90 Days of Freedom” Campaign, which has helped free seventeen first-time nonviolent drug offenders and was even called by The White House to advise to help change the system of clemency.

Despite the good however, Kim frequently seems to get on the wrong side of fans.

Remember when the star was accused of blackface?

The accusations came after this magazine cover was released:

The photoshoot was for 7Hollywood, an “L.A.-based biannual fashion, celebrity, and art magazine distributed worldwide.”
The shoot was supposedly inspired by Elizabeth Taylor, however, many saw these shots and immediately got the impression that Kim was channeling (or appropriating) Black culture instead.

Her skin had been noticeably darkened.

Whether it was spray tan, strange lighting, or overuse of photoshop, it’s not a stretch to say that Kim was unrecognizable.

She has also been frequently mom-shamed.

Whether it’s letting her daughter, North, wear makeup or allowing her to wear hooped earrings – the parent-shamers are never far away.

This picture of her daughter caused a stir in 2019.

North was seen sporting a faux septum ring.
The questionable jewelry choice came just weeks after her newly religious dad, Kanye, put a strict ban on her wearing makeup.

And, more recently…

Kim came under fire for, quite bizarrely, claiming that her 7-year-old daughter had painted a masterpiece.

No one bought it, of course.

Yep, it’s certainly impressive.

Anyway, now that the North’s painting fiasco has settled down somewhat, fans have turned their attention onto something else entirely.

Many are convinced that Kim is now “homophobic” after she allegedly used being gay as an insult.

It all started when model, Tyson Beckford, commented on a post of Kim arriving at Jimmy Kimmel Live! wearing a somewhat daring outfit…

He wrote:
“Sorry I don’t care for it personally,” before reiterating that he didn’t like her figure, saying, “She is not real, doctor f***ed up on her right hip.”

Well, Kim wasted no time in clapping back.

She responded, alongside a tea, frog and manicure emoji, “Sis we all know why you don’t care for it.”

Of course, people were not happy about her remark…

Well, Kim quickly defended herself and, during a radio interview on Real 92.3 this week, she said:

”Really dude, like you’re going to body-shame me? Like okay, okay, okay, sis… Dude, that’s so female lame to me. And for anyone to say that I am homophobic for the comment of saying ‘sis’ like, I’m sorry, I’m the least…All my best friends are gay, I support the community, I love the community, they love me. That has nothing to do with this.”

But I know what you’re all thinking…

What outfit caused all the drama?!

Well, here it is.

Totally not worth it.
