Nope, this is not a late April Fool's Day prank. This is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
Kim Kardashian, the queen of reality TV, social media personality and arguably one of the biggest trendsetters of our time, has been studying to become a lawyer.
We must admit, we were shocked at first too.
But then we had a look at what she has been doing with herself the last year and she's definitely been branching out from her usual remit; visiting the White House, fighting for criminal justice reform and working closely with civil rights activists.
Move over Judge Judy, this lady's taking the law into her own hands!
Wait until you see what she has to say about coping with her legal studies . . .
What springs to mind when you think about Kim Kardashian?
Is it her famous family? Or, the reality TV show Keeping Up With The Kardashians?Or maybe it's her gravity-defying physique.
Even after going through pregnancy and childbirth, Kim has managed to maintain her enviable curves. And don't even get us started about all the junk in her trunk.Talking of the mother of three...
How can we not mention Kim's adorable children; North, Saint and Chicago? Did we mention she's expecting baby number four via surrogate? She definitely has her hands full. And of course, we can't forget her significant other.
Although we're not 100% sure of how hands-on dad and husband, Kanye West is but we definitely know he's in the picture. Kim married Kayne back in May 2014 after two unsuccessful marriages to Kris Humphries and Damon Thomas. She has definitely proven to us all she doesn't rely on her man for success.

She currently has over 134 million followers on Instagram.
And she can earn up to $720,000 for just a single sponsored post. Clearly, she is more than just a pretty face. So, where does her business acumen come from?
Well, let's first take a look at her parents. Kris Jenner is probably best known for being a 'momager' to the Kardashian-Jenner clan. And she's not made a bad job of it.
Kris runs her own production company called Jenner Communications and she has represented Kim since before even Keeping Up with the Kardashians was created. Which is in its 16th season! It's evident that she had a lot to do with Kim's subsequent rise to fame and global success. And where to start with Kim's father who famously defended O.J Simpson.
Rob Kardashian is notorious for being on the team of defense lawyers that represented O.J Simpson. Could this have sparked Kim's intellectual side?Sisters Kourtney and Khloe have both revealed that Kim was obsessed with court TV shows when she was younger.
Kim, who was very close to her father, used to spend hours snooping around his library which was full of all the O.J Simpson evidence books. So much for confidentiality! And more recently, Kim has been involving herself with matters concerning criminal justice.

Not on her own though, might we add. She's not that good.
Kim visited the White House with activist Van Jones and attorney Jessica Jackson who co-founded the criminal justice reform group #cut50. An organization that Kim has since been working closely with. She spoke recently about this in an interview with Vogue.
She said: "It's never one person who gets things done; it's always a collective of people, and I've always known my role, but I just felt like I wanted to be able to fight for people who have paid their dues to society."And according to Van Jones, Kim is not as stupid as she sometimes seems. Far from it.
Van Jones said: "I watched with my own eyes Trump confess to having a tremendous fear of letting somebody out of prison and that person doing something terrible. "He was visibly nervous about it and I watched Kim Kardashian unleash the most effective, emotionally intelligent intervention that I've ever seen in American politics." Bloody hell! Who'd have thought it!This isn't the only case that Kim has been involved in.

She was spotted at the California capitol in January advocating for the Free the Vote Act.

As well as showing her support on the third annual Day Of Empathy.
One of the largest national days of action for criminal justice reform in history. Go, Kim!So, really her recent revelation shouldn't come as such a big surprise.
Kim has decided to become a lawyer! In fact, she started a 4-year law apprenticeship in San Francisco last summer and hopes to become qualified by 2022.We are pretty sure we can imagine what is going through your head right now.
Yep, Kim Kardashian as a lawyer would be exactly like Elle Woods in Legally Blonde. Would anyone really take her seriously??! Well, clearly Trump did and we guess that's a start. And if you can't wait to see what she would look like in court, check her out at the bottom of the page with Taylor Swift fighting her corner! But why law? And why now?
Kim has shared how she had to think long and hard about this massive career change. She said: "I just felt like the system could be so different and I wanted to fight to fix it, and if I knew more, I could do more." Makes sense.Activist Jones has defended Kim's decision by pointing out her family background.
He said: "This is the daughter of an accomplished attorney and the mother of three black kids who is using her full power to make a difference on a tough issue, and is shockingly good at it."And as is often the case with Kim, she has something to say about the doubters.
Kim said: "I love to be put in a situation where I can have a conversation with someone who might not be inclined to think much of me because I guarantee they will have a different opinion and understands what's important to me after they've met me."Fighting talk, but isn't the bar notoriously hard to pass?
Yes, it most definitely is, with the State Bar of California revealing that only 40.7% passed the General Bar Exam last year. So luckily for Kim, she is starting with what is referred to as the "baby bar". If she passes this, she will be allowed to carrying on studying for a further three years. What does Kim have to say about all this hard work she's signed up for?
She said: "The first year of law school, you have to cover three subjects; criminal law, torts, and contracts. "To me, torts is the most confusing, contracts the most boring and crim law I can do in my sleep. "Took my first test, I got a 100. Super easy for me." Well, that's us told. But surely she must find some of it tough?
"The reading is what really gets me, It's so time-consuming. The concepts I grasp in two seconds," she said. Ahh yes, reading can be tricky. If only they could cram all the subject matter into a 2-hour film? Wouldn't that be easier? Kim could even audition for a cameo part!On a more serious note, well done to her.
She definitely has come along way since her, shall we say, shadier days. It's hard to believe she is the same person sometimes. At least she is trying to make a difference.
