Ever since George Floyd, an unarmed and defenseless black man, died while being held in a police restraint, our country has experienced a wave of anger like never before.

But George Floyd’s death has sparked an outrage like never before.

And they are all marching for one thing: For the blatant racism and injustice in this country to be brought to an end.

But change needs to happen and, at the moment, this seems like the only way to make it happen.

Thanks to these riots, the Black Lives Matter movement is dominating global headlines, and it has completely taken over social media.

For instance, a group of people painted large yellow letters saying “Black Lives Matter” down two blocks of 16th Street in D.C – a two-lane road that coincidentally leads to the White House.

Hundreds of thousands of people have been taking to the streets in the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. The global solidarity has been incredible to see.

And people are continuing to demand justice.

And it’s so important that we continue to speak out and use our voices.

And then New York City decided to paint their own.

And at the time a Department of Transportation spokesperson told PIX 11 that the block would be blocked to cars for days, when traffic would be free to drive through the painting.

His Twitter rant came after the Mayor’s intention to defund the NYPD’s $6 billion budget was announced. “And yet the @NYCMayor is going to paint a big, expensive, yellow Black Lives Matter sign on Fifth Avenue, denigrating this luxury Avenue,” the President said. “This will further antagonize New York’s Finest, who LOVE New York & vividly remember the horrible BLM chant, ‘Pigs In A Blanket, Fry ‘Em Like Bacon.'”

The major pointed out Trump’s so-called “luxury” came from Black community’s labor, for which they “have never been justly compensated.”

“Only in your mind could an affirmation of people’s value be a scary thing.”

Especially in light of Trump’s recent comments.

And back in August, a protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin turned deadly.

Kyle Rittenhouse, armed illegally with an AR-15 assault rifle, opened fire on three protestors.

While the third was horrifically injured, losing a significant portion of his bicep.

And is currently on trial for homicide and illegally possessing a firearm.

An online website is selling T-shirts, hoodies, stickers, mugs, iPhone covers and laptop sleeves carrying the phrase ‘Free Kyle’. And the money that’s being made is going to pay his legal fees…
