Kylie Jenner has to take “most-followed woman on Instagram” off of her resume.

The Kardashians are the most famous family in the world–but the most famous of them all doesn’t even boast the same last name.

From the time the family was first introduced to the world on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, it wasn’t immediately clear that Kylie Jenner would become a star.

She was just 9 years old when the show began, but it only took a few years for her to find her footing as a social media starlet.

Jenner launched Kylie Cosmetics in 2014, and started selling her famous Kylie Lip Kits the next year.

At age 20, she was worth a whopping $900 million, though that net worth has dropped a little over the years.

She’s looking to get back into her money-making ways with her latest business venture, a clothing company called Khy.

Unfortunately, Jenner’s net worth isn’t the only thing that’s dropped–her standing at the most-followed woman on Instagram has, too.

At 399 million followers, Kylie has dropped to number 2 on the list.
Before we find out who number 1 is, let’s take a look at the rest of the top 10.

Amid all of her scandals and personal turmoil, Grande still boasts an impressive 380 million followers.
No. 4 – Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian is the fourth most-followed woman on Instagram.

The reality star is getting close to her little sister’s numbers with 364 million followers.

At 319 million followers, Beyoncé’s big following shouldn’t come as a surprise.
No. 6 – Khloé Kardashian

Khloé Kardashian is the sixth most-followed woman on Instagram.

Following two of her famous sisters, Khloé is the third Kardashian/Jenner on the list with 311 million followers.
No. 7 – Kendall Jenner

Kendall Jenner is the seventh most-followed woman on Instagram.

Just like Kylie, Kendall might not have the famous “Kardashian” surname, but she’s still managed to rack up 294 million followers.

At 279 million followers, Swift’s strong fanbase is nothing to scoff at.

Starring in romantic comedies and releasing music has kept her in the top 10, amassing 253 million followers.

Rounding out the top 10 is Nicki Minaj, who has 229 million followers on the social media platform.
And now, for our number one spot….

Boasting a whopping 429 followers, Gomez is only behind soccer stars Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo for the most-followed accounts on the entire platform.

In 2023, Gomez became the first woman to surpass 400 million Instagram followers.

“Wishing I could hug all 400 million of you,” Gomez wrote in a post at the time, celebrating the milestone.

Now that she’s well above that 400 million mark in just a few months, it’s safe to say nobody else will be taking her number one spot any time soon.
