Lady Gaga has been on the receiving end of backlash after her performance at Joe Biden's inauguration...
Yep, it seems Gaga has been hailed the biggest "hypocrite" after her rendition of the National Anthem.
Keep scrolling to see why...
The run-up to Biden's inauguration has been a tense one, to say the least.
Since his election victory on November 7th, our country has experienced political tensions like never before.
Most people argue that Biden's win was a fair one...
After 4 long days of vote counting - and plenty of recounting - the Democrat was projected as the forty-sixth President of the United States.
Upon the news of his victory, Biden Tweeted this:
America, I’m honored that you have chosen me to lead our great country.

The work ahead of us will be hard, but I promise you this: I will be a President for all Americans — whether you voted for me or not.
I will keep the faith that you have placed in me. pic.twitter.com/moA9qhmjn8

However, people on the other side of the political spectrum are not convinced by the legitimacy of the Biden-Harris win.

Trump instantly attacked Biden's win with several accusations of electoral fraud - all of which are yet to be proven or backed up with any evidence.
Of course, his loyal supporters lapped up his unfortified claims without hesitation...
And, as a result, the already tense divide between the Republicans and the Democrats only deepened.
Clearly, Trump had been doing everything in his power to challenge the election result...

But, on January 6th, enraged Trump supporters took matters into their own hands.
After repeated instructions by the former president to "fight for the White House," hundreds of his supporters stormed the U.S Capitol...

During which a joint session of Congress had convened to formally count the Electoral College votes and certify Joe Biden's election win.
Things quickly became violent...

And the world watched on, horrified, as the building was overtaken and vandalized by the rioters.
It was clear to see that the police were completely overwhelmed...
And disgracefully underprepared.
But now that both candidates have been officially sworn-in without any disturbances, it seems as though people's focus has shifted to something else entirely...
And yes, it involves Lady Gaga.
Before the inauguration, it was announced that the pop singer would be performing the national anthem at the event...
Which was a performance we were all excited about...
We were even more excited when she posted this yesterday:
She also had some hopeful words for the American people before the special day...
"I pray tomorrow will be a day of peace for all Americans. A day for love, not hatred. A day for acceptance, not fear," she wrote.

"A day for dreaming of our future joy as a country. A dream that is non-violent, a dream that provides safety for our souls," she continued. "Love, from the Capitol 🇺🇸."
Gaga shared that she was "deeply honored" to perform at the event...
And even though her rendition of the anthem was nothing short of amazing...
Some people couldn't help but focus on something else...

For years, Lady Gaga was the only one wearing a mask at big events.

Now she's the only one not wearing a mask at a big event.
Did lady gaga just come within 6 feet of our new President sans a mask?????? #BidenHarrisInauguration

Lady Gaga @ladygaga should be wearing a mask, that bitch.
— TheAnonNetwork (@TheAnonNetwork) January 20, 2021
How is it neither Lady Gaga nor J Lo felt it was necessary to wear a mask while walking through the people on Capitol Hill, especially as J Lo has made such a fuss about covid 🤷♀️

What on earth was @ladygaga playing at, not wearing a mask on her entrance to the platform at the inauguration???

If you lost a loved one to COVID-19, battled the virus or are a healthcare worker treating the ill, what’s your reaction to: a large #Inauguration lacking 100% social-distancing compliance, some people & speakers not wearing a mask, including Lady Gaga who greeted U.S. leaders? pic.twitter.com/v4WCuyKemX

It seems as though a lot of critics aren't happy about the fact that the singer chose not to wear a mask...
Even though she has been "preaching" about the measures on the lead up to the event.
