On January 23rd, we got the devastating news that TV legend, Larry King had passed away.
Now his widow has spoken out what caused his death...
The news comes only a few days after King's death.
And it makes the situation all the more difficult to bear.
Now, we all know Larry King as an award winning journalist and TV host.
He was a household face across the entire country.
And it's all thanks to his hosting gig on the The Larry King Show.
From 1978 until 1994, King hosted The Larry King Show, a radio show where he would interview an icon and then take calls from the public.
And in his career, he interviewed some huge names.
From Oprah Winfrey to Janet Jackson to Vladimir Putin, you name it and King's probably done it.
And that's how he built a legacy as a great journalist.
Attracting thousands of listeners on every episode, King really established a name for himself in the industry.
But that wasn't the only show he hosted....
He also hosted Larry King Live from 1985 until 2010 and the nightly TV show was CNN's most-watched and longest-running program, with over 1 million viewers nightly.
And that's where he gave us some hard-hitting interviews.
Typically, there were celebrities, politicians, or business people - but there were some exceptional cases where he interviewed outside of those professions.
And if that wasn't enough, he found himself on yet another show...
From 2012 until 2020, he hosted Larry King Live, and also Politicking with Larry King.
But as with anyone in the limelight, King wasn't shy of controversy.
And was often compared to marmite - with some people absolutely adoring him, and others feeling the complete opposite. One thing was obvious though, he was well-respected.
However, just a few months ago Larry had some awful news.
2 of his 5 children tragically passed away in just a matter of weeks.
They died back in August 2020.
His son, Andy, died suddenly, aged just sixty-five, according to Page Six.
His daughter then passed a few weeks after.
After battling a chronic illness for a long time, Larry's daughter, Chaia also died, aged fifty-one.
An insider revealed the tragic news.

They explained: "Larry and his three remaining children are distraught, and Larry's still recovering from his own health issues from last year."
Another also added this:
"He did two live shows [of Hulu's Politiking with Larry King]. It's his way of processing."
But just a few days ago, we had some more heartbreaking news to do with the esteemed journalist.
Larry King himself died aged eighty-seven.
His Twitter account was used to confirm the news.

A statement was shared on his official Twitter page which outlined the great life he led before his death.
"With profound sadness, Ora Media announces the death of our co-founder, host, and friend Larry King, who passed away this morning at age 87 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
"For 63 years and across the platforms of radio, television and digital media, Larry's many thousands of interviews, awards, and global acclaim stand as a testament to his unique and lasting talent as a broadcaster."
"Additionally, while it was his name appearing in the shows' titles, Larry always viewed his interview subjects as the true stars of his programs, and himself as merely an unbiased conduit between the guest and audience Whether he was interviewing a U.S. president, foreign leader, celebrity, scandal-ridden personage, or an everyman, Larry liked to ask short, direct, and uncomplicated questions."
"He believed concise questions usually provided the best answers, and he was not wrong in that belief."
"Larry's interviews from his 25-year-run on CNN's Larry King Live and his Ora Media programs Larry King Now and Politicking With Larry King are consistently referenced by media outlets around the world and remain part of the historical record of the late 20th and early 21st centuries."

But now, his widow has spoken out about the sad news regarding her husband.
Shawn King revealed some heartbreaking details about King's death, including the cause behind it.
While a lot of us knew he was infected by COVID-19, Shawn confirmed that he had in fact recovered from the virus...
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, she revealed that it was sepsis that caused the health complications that his body eventually succumbed to.
She said this:
"It was an infection, it was sepsis. Well, he was finally ready to go, I will tell you that. You know, he never wanted to go but his sweet little body was just, it had just been hit so many times with so many things and once we heard the word COVID, all of our hearts just sunk."
"But he beat it, you know, he beat it, but it did take its toll and then the unrelated infection finally is what took him, but boy, he was not gonna go down easily."
She also added that she and her husband were able to communicate before he passed via FaceTime and he had some important words for her.
"It was hard for him to talk, but the one message that he wanted to make sure I heard was, 'I love you, take care of the boys,'" she said.
Rest in peace, Larry King.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.
