The thirty-five-year-old is widely regarded as one of the greatest basketball players of all-time through his sensational career with the Lakers.

But basketball is far from his only passion.

James is well immersed in the world of education and getting kids on the right track - using his influence for good.

And he's certainly not all talk...

The star has been involved with several programs and schemes, including funding the "Wheels for Education" program, which provides kids with school supplies, access to computers, and a bike as part of a system designed to keep kids motivated to complete their studies and reach their full potential grades-wise.

But, without a doubt, James launched his biggest project 2 years ago.

The NBA legend opened his own public school - The I Promise School.

James' I Promise School was originally designed to be an experiment.

The public school, supported by the LeBron James Family Foundation, opened its doors in 2018 after the star teamed up with Akron Public Schools to make the project a reality.

The school is specifically catered to underprivileged children.

Located in James' hometown Akron, Ohio, the school houses 240 at-risk third and fourth-grade students.

James' school provides free meals for the kids...

As well as services designed to help both children and parents who are struggling - including stress management and an on-site food bank.

On top of that, all pupils receive a free bike when they arrive at the school.

This is something extremely close to James' heart after he admitted that having a bike gave him the freedom to explore and escape some of the more dangerous parts of the neighbourhood while growing up.

At the time of the school's launch in 2018, James spoke out about the motivation behind the life-changing project.

"We want to create an environment of family where you want to always be around your family," he said, per the BBC. "No matter the good and the bad, you always want to be around that support system."

His own childhood experiences sparked the idea.

"School didn't mean anything to me," he said. "There were just a lot of empty days, empty nights and just kind of a no-future thought process.

"It was mentally challenging. No kid at eight, nine should have that stress... so I know exactly what a lot of these kids are going through."

The basketball sensation has poured his heart and soul into the school.

And hopes that it will provide a second chance for kids who are struggling at home or falling behind in their education.

However, the I Promise school is different from other institutions ran by celebrities...

It's not a charter school run by a private operator but a public school operated by the district, with the school’s $2 million budget funded by the district.

Through this venture, the NBA star proved he's a role model both on and off the court.

And he's truly gone above and beyond to be an inspirational figure in so many kids' lives.

LeBron has always been a man of the people...

And, throughout years of major success, he has always remained grounded and stayed true to himself.

And he loves his fans.

In fact, he loves the fans so much that not too long ago he vowed not to play basketball if fans weren't allowed to attend.

He made the announcement during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Where many major sporting events such as the Olympic Games are facing potential cancellation to avoid any further spread of the virus.

It's only fair to say that almost everybody on the planet loves LeBron James.

And after taking a look into his life, his sporting expertise, and his generosity, it's hard not to.

But it turns out not everyone feels that way...

On Monday night, a woman and her husband were removed from the Lakers vs. Hawks game in Atlanta for going off on James.

Juliana Carlos, an Instagram model who initiated the fight, attended the game with her husband, Chris Carlos.

The couple was sitting courtside when her husband got into an argument with the basketball star.

Juliana decided she wasn't having any of it and proceeded to cuss and flip off LeBron from their incredibly expensive seats.

The woman got so heated, she even removed her face mask to yell at him.

After a while, the refs stopped the game completely and forced the pair as well as 2 others to leave.

Juliana turned on her IG Live to record the debacle.

The video wasn't short of colorful language...

"So, I'm minding my own business, and Chris has been a Hawks fan forever," Juliana explained. "He has this issue with LeBron. I don't have an issue with LeBron. I don't give a f**k about LeBron.

"Anyway, I'm minding my own business, drinking, having fun. All of the sudden, LeBron says something to my husband, and I see this and I stand up. And, I go, 'Don't f***ing talk to my husband.' And, he looks at me and he goes, 'Sit the f**k down, b*tch.'

"And I go, 'Don't f**king call me a b*tch. You sit the f**k down. Get the f**k out of here. Don't f**king talk to my husband like that.'"

LeBron was asked about the incident after the game...

"At the end of the day, I'm happy fans are back in the building," LeBron said "I miss that interaction. I need that interaction."

Although he later said he thinks booze may have been a factor in why the couple began shouting abuse. "They might have had a couple drinks, maybe."

"I don't think taking down the mask harmed anybody," LeBron added. "I wasn't close enough to her."

Although he did express concern for the refs who got close to her, "I hope they're okay. Safety first."

He later tweeted about the altercation, saying: "Courtside Karen was MAD MAD!!"

Not wrong there.
